having lost Joel Monaghan to the Wires why don't we try to get one season out of Chris Hicks ?

just go with young french players instead of an old aussie, long term will be alot better for the catlans and the french national team

couldn't agree more with the young french lads tho' this season is a real transition period for the team and the stability of a proven SL try scorer & kicker,especially with doubts over TBs fitness could be important

We have Mounis to cover for TB - if we don't relegate Mounis from the squad ... Barthau and Gigot are also decent kickers.

William proved he wasn't good enough at the highest level when called upon in SL games,smashing kid that he is and Tony is improving but a heck of a long way to go.
I thought David Guasch did well when asked to kick in last years friendly against Cas

You mean he was dropped in the deep end, not given the time to prove himself and then dumped because he wasn't as good as TB ... We can't write players off that fast!

agree completely but you don't often get the comfort zone in SL - it's usually straight in at the deep-end

William is a good player with a promising future but maybe a season with someone like TO would toughen him up for the 'big time' ?

David Guasch looks a better prospect from the matches i've seen him play ,if you are looking for young french talent

hicks WAS a goalkicker, cant do it anymore, as it aggrevates an injury, hence why we had benny westwood kicking ahead of him!

thanks for the info,didn't know that - peversely,a similar situation to Thomas Bosc then - the Cats do have possiblities tho' I worry about the present possible replacements being competant enough at the highest level - we're talking potentially a lot of league points at stake here !

yeah, a real pain! we seem to have dealt with it okay though! by signing BH, we could win a few more of those close games we lost last year, because of poor goalkicking.

it's amazing how these points add up at the end of the season - it only can a few close losses to make the difference plus the confidence having a reliable kicker has on the rest of the lads etc

last year we lost 3 games, by 2 points or less! which i put down to not having an out and out goalkicker! one of which against wigan, the other against saints, games that could have changed the course of our season! oh well!

the game which really gets my goat is v the Quins at home - we somehow managed to grasp defeat from the jaws of victory !!! a complete disaster !
