Toulouse Olympique were woeful yet again yasterday against the Vikings however,Nathan Wynn was superb ! he ran the show as he often does and he seems to be the only member of the TO staff willing to motivate a generally lacklustre bunch of mediocre rugby league footballers.That's taking nothing away from Widnes who steamrollered TO in the first-half into submission - the usual story of course too many basic errors plus indiscipline in the ranks etc etc we seem to have seen this trend all season.The players are demoralised imo - they appear to have lost confidence in their coach & Carlos.
I would like to ask a couple of questions
1) How can a player of the quality and influence of Nathan Wynn be allowed to leave a club he clearly loves and wants to see move forward ? how can a LER side possibly be allowed to make a better offer to such an integral member of the team ? the only solution must be that Carlos has found someone better which is great news ! I can't wait to pay my subs for next season to see the replacement.
2) Why are we,the ever diminishing band loyal fans (attendance 900 odd versus Widnes against 3000 odd last season !) being subjected to this mediocrity ? We seem to have a second-rate set-up spearheaded by a second-rate coach.It seems incredible that,according to some of the players our beloved coach wasn't even present at fridays' training session ! what on earth is happening here ? if the coach can't be bothered what message does that send out ? Carlos,are you listening ? How long can you allow this fiasco to continue ?
Get rid of him, get someone who knows the modern game, treat the players like a family and look after them and you will get some loyalty. But at the moment they seem determined to press the self destruct button.
The plain fact is that the overseas imports have kept this club going,without them we wouldn't even be Championship 1 standard
We have some fine french lads but some of them are clearly not up to standard though the coaching techniques etc they have to endure ISN'T helping them
Many of my fellow season ticket holders are dismayed and will probably NOT be renewing next season

Carlos isn't a stupid man but you have to question his ambition

he cannot seriously be mounting a SL bid for TO13 in it's present state ?

no wonder so many of the championship sides are very sceptical about TO even being allowed to play in the Championship !

Lezignan have the ambition and are prepared to put their money where their mouth is - more money plus a house is difficult to refuse for a young lad like Nathan

Carlos is determined to run the club within it's means. If you get things right off the field, the on-field stuff becomes mere window-dressing in terms of the organisation. It's clear there's an issue there, but it's not fundamental to the running of the club.
Re Super League, any club currently in the Championship bears little resemblance to a Super League side, but it's quite clear it won't be this time for TO. Stadium development plans are ongoing which is a start.

On a side note, I'd love to know where Lézignan are getting all their money from

Chatting to Nathan, he's more than happy to play for TO next year, I don't see an issue with him playing in the winter to earn a few more 'bucks'. Its not as if Elite 1 is a high standard, it's a great way of him keeping match fit!

With the short Championship calendar, esp when not involved in the NRC, I'm not suprised that players will be looking to part-time in the LER, or even a short stint in SL if possible. The problem for TO is being sure that their players will return for the Championship season next year and ensuring the fans know this - to keep them positive and buying season tickets for next year.

good news that Rory has signed for another season and Eric,Kevin & Teli P also look to be staying so it's not all doom and gloom it seems
a bit worried about big Tim Wynn tho' - the reports aren't good as he suffered an epileptic fit on friday evening - fingers crossed for a full recovery
still lots of players not decided/or been not been informed of their fate
