I like many on here think he would be a very good signing for you guys, offers an element of unpredictability and versatility. Obviously no guarantee he can provide the team with a better placing or better cup run so to pay him out of a 2 year contract plus his salary and for the possibility he may only play for one season at your club, does sound like a bit of a risk. But maybe one worth taking. |

We have Whiting who is a very good fullback so if we had to change it for any reason then we would be covered. Of course if we bring the right players in we won't have to chop and change. |

I agree that it may be a risk, but to have a proven half back covering the injured halves would mean confidently going into most matches knowing we have our most pivotal players in their correct positions. Something we haven't had for a while now! |

He's not a very good full back though. He maybe fairly safe, but he offers nothing in attack playing from that position. The number 1 and 9 positions need specialist players filling them. The fullback position is the first line of attack, and Tansey is quick enough, and dynamic enough to get us on the front foot when returning the ball, or chiming into the line to link up with the halves. Whiting would struggle to do this.
Spelling Houghton with Washbrook scares me to death as well. Our big pack needs to be led round the field as effectively as possible. Washbrook doesnt have the skill or distribution to be able to accomplish this for us when Houghtons off the field. |

Whiting is not as good as Tansye at fullback but still provides a very good option.
I remain unconvinced about Washy at 9 but people said the same thing about Moore at Saints yet he took to the role really well as did Murrell at Rovers.
Like I said we are looking to sign two players who will give us cover in these positions so it may change anyway. |

agreed, complete shambles on the face of it....hence no seaon pass for me....if we lose long for a sustained period of time which is very likely considering...then were in the shizzer and will struggle to make the top 8 in my opinion.... |
