Plenty of better players than Fisher out there i'm sure you'll agree, does his job well for Rovers but doubt there would be a huge queue for his services

Fisher's terrible and if we went from having an Aussie international, SoO and GF winning player of a hooker to some average joe who couldn't make it in Aus or get a gig in the SL so had to come over to NL1 I'd be very... very disappointed.

I wouldn't be surprised for Hull to make a signing for a year - someone like Obst from Wakefield - and then making a big signing for 2012.

said that on here a few weeks ago,i reckon we will see quite a bit of nicklas when injuries to long and horne happen,then a big money halfback for 2012 with longy going and horne been out of contract,also lauaki,washy,burnett all ooc next year,isnt dowes ooc aswel after 2011?we are going to have plenty of cash available,will see us give big sam a new contract too,tbh i reckon talks will of already taken place for 2012,now berro has been announced and burnett out on loan i reckon we may see 2 players announced before the new year,the wages them two will be on will surely get 2 decent players.

No chance of McNally IMO, they will go for a player with more experience rather than one who up to now has not stepped up to SL level.

Yes, because there are literally dozens of proven SL standard half backs available on the open market.

You do still have a quota space open which gives you options.

And it doesn't have to be a half - they could get a fullback and use Tansey as interchange hooker/hb cover.

There are other similar things that could be done (2 moderate players for more depth, if less quality) - but something does need doing fairly urgently.

Of course there aren't , but with Hull evidently having cash available to make a signing I think they would attempt to obtain a better player than McNally.

It's easy to say, and less easy to do, isn't it? We've just paid out a big fee for Westerman and at this stage will have to pay another as everyone's under contract. A player commanding Berrigan's salary would in all likelihood want a similar transfer fee. Perhaps you could list the SL standard players who can competently cover, say, scrum half and hooker, and whose teams are willing to release them immediately? Thanks.

Doubt Myler would leave. Very eager to establish a permenant place in the team after missing out on our Challenge Cup triumph and having turned down an offer to move to Humberside a few months ago, I can't see why he'd consider a loan option.

I don't think the players you will sign would command the same salary as Berrigan and the commensurate fee.

As for players - Obst and as a couple of other posters have mentioned Sammut may fit the bill.
Whether they are available I can't say , but both the clubs involved may look favourably on receiving a transfer fee.

bothe did bugger all in the NRL and both cant even lace berro's boots BUT...could be a good option for us.......saying that tho, the amount of shi$ berrigan got for 3 years for being "mediocre" amazes me....sammut and co aint no berrigan thats for sure

Can't see Myler coming. Aside from the fact that he's turned us down at least once, not to mention the relocation, he would be not be a first choice. Surely he'd rather be a second choice half back at Warrington than at Hull FC?
