Sammutt would be a good signing. I'd have concerns as has been mentioned that he may not address our need for an organising half but in the absence of Long for some games i'd say Sammutt will do a decent job.

Cant say i've noticed him been awful. I'd rather have a halfback for his attacking ability though than his defensive ability.
