Come on lads and lasses like as been said we are still champions. we are third its not too bad we have just hit a sticky patch, it will go away and we will be back to winning ways very soon im sure, We were all gutted at the last two results but lets face it we didnt play well and when teams come up against the champions they always up there game opposition do there homework on us now cos they know we are the team to beat its a cup final for most of the clubs.
So lets all look forward to the rest of the season its gonna have its ups and downs but hopefully we will be at old trafford again and this will all be a thing of the past.

People Leeds Rhinos are not rubbish at all. We are back to back defending Super League champions. Facing defending super league champions gets teams up against you. But facing back to back super league champions really gets other teams up against you!

Its just a bad patch where going through that is similar to the one that St Helens went through last season...

Leeds will get through it and should be at Old Trafford come at the end of the season. If not then we start next season for the first time in two seasons as underdogs meaning pressure will be taken off us!

oi this is my positive thread get lost biatch!!

What is it McClennan keeps saying. 'We arn't playing in 2008 anymore. That's gone and means feck all as to how we'll do this season' or words to that effect.

Sure McClennan doesn’t drill in last years successes into the players. But I’m sure it’s at the front of the minds of the opposition players who will see playing Leeds Rhinos as a chance to beat the back to back champions. If it isn’t like that then I’m sorry for assuming wrong. But I’m sure that in any sport when your facing the champions you play at your very best to see where you stand.

I'd like everyone to remember the posts made today. I'd like all the negative ones brought up if we manage to win the grand final, that will be a good laugh. At the same time, if we don't win the grand final, I want all these positive believest posts brought up, telling us nothing was wrong. Hindsight. Love it.

FWIW I am increasingly starting to think we will see a shock at OT this year. I have this horrid horrid feeling that Huddersfield will be there. They seem to be doing something right to ALL of us - tackling technique maybe - that we have not managed to get to grips with yet. Scary or what?

Inclined to jump on the doomed side of the fence, but then I'll probably end up eating my words similar to last season.

From a squad of 24 players we've got 19 first team players. 8 Backs, 11 forwards and 5 fringe youngsters.

Unless any of that changes then we're gonna have to stay injury free, fight fatigue and hope for a strong finish in october in order to win anything.
With the set up we have and core squad I don't think that's really good enough. Having a smaller sqaud than last year and handicapping ourselves in teh salary cap is ruining our chances of remaining a dominant force in our golden era. All for what??

It's not as if spending more than the comp in the salary cap can win you a title is it??
