KR's defence was superb first half, sorta fell down in the second.

We have a hard act to follow if our game is to be as good as the last two televised Sky Easter fixtures.

I do, Bradford are bound to be fired up for it. We should win, but it wont be easy as some are predicting.

A pity Thaler felt the need to get involved with the grapple tackle call that Ganson saw nothing wrong with. It nearly changed the course of the game.

It was a grapple, its just than Ganson didnt see it at all as he was on the blind side. Also as the Hull poster said it was the TJ who came on and told mr G.

Anyway the game was entertaining and I love seeing the biff up front. It died off in periods but what gets me is why all the teams cant play games at that intensity and it is only left to the derbys. They are all clearly capable.

Oh, and Hull were gash with ball in hand.

Still, couldn't fault the passion and intensity, and almost a grandstand finish.

The atmosphere sounded cracking in the stadium too.

His carries are too loose. He did OK though in general. It was the stupid flat/forward passes they were throwing to players a yard away from them. Also when the halves did play deep the outside backs ended up in front of them. Thats just poor coaching IMO.

Isn't Calderwood a pale shadow of the version we had at Leeds?

Yeah, the 2 try saving tackles in that 1 set plus the attendance on Wellham for the resulting no try showed he has gone a long way backwards. Then when you add that take above his head and the escape from the in goal area in the 41st minute plus the speed to get outside Fox and kick the ball through for Whitings try and you get a total inept performance from a pish poor player.



BTW I only saw Fox get outside of him once

Unfortunately, I suspect tonight will be something of a 'damp squib', literally and metaphorically.

Quite a few close games around today. Leigh beat Widnes 10-8 with a converted try in the last minute too.

Swinton pipped Blackpool in the last minute too. Graham Holroyd got the winner...

You checked out the Hull board? They are not happy (from what I can make out - they don't seem to speak English over there). I don't think they saw the same game as the rest of us. I agree with you, I thought it was a very good game in the conditions.
