Bit harsh on Diskin given that he was trying to work behind our beaten pack and a very agressive Stains pack. He was not as his best yesterday but i hardly think sticking him in the reserves will do him any good. If DB gets more game time/stays injury free and works with Diskin and he does not improve him then fair enough but I personally think he will.

Maybe for yesterday's match mate but he wasn't "firing" against catalan either imo.
I know what yer saying though but at some point if a player isn't performing and also conceding silly petulant penalties then maybe a "rest" would send the right message.

i think bentham should take some stick for the penalties mate. diskin has been poor last couple of weeks but so have a lot of others.
he does need to up his game though. i think mcshane may play against salford though

Agree completely mate but imo we know what he's gonna be like so the player's and especially diskin who imo is doing it too often should rise above it.
We went through the same thing with smith and kirkpatrick so they should be controlled enough to leave the chat to sinfield.

after the two saints games and the HKR game i wonder if bentham has an agenda. i know bluey dislikes him intensely! to be polite about it

Oh, and I actually have no complaints with Bentham from yesterdays game to be honest. But if the club do there's a way to be rid of him.

from my original post. Bluey didn't blame the ref and very few Leeds fans are. Bluey was actually very gracious in defeat, it's only rumour that has him as unhappy with Bentham (over a number of weeks) at all.

I was hacked off that we didn't really find any form to speak of and were so comprehensively outplayed on Sunday but having been a Leeds fan for too long you pretty quickly learn to get over a result like this. If you don't then you end up not a Leeds fan you end up dead meat.

Not sure what the hysterics is all about. We are certainly short of one maybe two 'world class' siginings to be competing for doubles and or trebles. Still good enough to be right in the mix at the end of the year. As far as I can see we haven't actually really clicked yet all season and at this stage Saints are clearly better than us (as are Huddersfield probably) and we may even struggle on Friday.

Will this still be case as the summer unfolds? Who knows? That's what makes the game interesting. Now we get to see how good a coach Bluey actually is...

Yeah, I never let any results get me down now. Take the rough with the smooth. It's only a game and if we are out played then fair enough. As for the players, I think we have a good enough squad to win everything. Yesterday though we relied too much on individuals trying to create something. We played deep enough for the most but all that means diddly squat if its simple pass pass rugby. No dummy runners just makes it easy for a side who are structured defensivly well like Saints. I also for the life of me dont know why we marked Gidley up with Burrow in our own 10/20. He gets the offloads out against guys his size so it came as no surprise to me when Burrow was caught out a couple of times. In that situation Senior needed to be onto him as he received it.

I thought that Burrow against Gidley was a mismatch, but the other option would have been Burrow up against Petula or whoever else played backrow on that side
