| Workington and Whitehaven seem to draw French teams reguarly. Thats cool though, never seen ASC before.
Both tough ties as well but against beatable championship opposition.

For Toulouse, it's compensation of sorts for how it ended in the Championship. I think next year it's back to league champions and cup winners. Of course, this time round, ASC are both of those things, so it ought to have been the championship runners-up.

| ASC beaten 24-16 in a close game. Town easily deserved to win as Carcassonne were poor in the first half despite opening the scores through Russel Aitkin, they didn't kick the goal and Town scores three unanswered tries and it was 18-4 at h/t.
Carcassonne pulled it back in the second half and after a disappointing first half Vinnie Anderson got into the game and had a hand in most things Carcassonne did in the last 25 minutes. Sadly for us ASC couldn't make the most of their opportunities and were their own worst enemies with the referee.
The game ended with a bit of controversy when a bit of a brawl erupted and the referee carded several players, Workingtons player jogged up behind Vinnie Anderson, said some choice words to the big man, perhaps suggesting a new barber? anyhow Vinnie took much exeption to this and promptly filled the lad in in the dug out, resulting in another all in scrap in the tunnel.
All of which we absolutley of course in no way condone or want to see but it was bloody good fun

Challenge Cup Fourth Round DrawThe death of ex-Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher changed plans to broadcast the prestigious fourth round draw for the Tetley’s Challenge Cup live on national radio, as BBC Radio 5live opted to continue its’ coverage of the deceased past premier.
The draw was instead carried live across some local BBC radio stations.
This was the most highly anticipated draw of the season, where the Superleague sides join the competition for the first time, and as usual it threw up a couple of all Superleague ties. The draw was held at the Halliwell-Jones Stadium, home of the Cup holders, in front of representatives from all clubs still in the competition.

York got a real fright from Blackbrook yesterday. Snuck home by 2. But then a couple of weeks ago, they were comfortable winners against Fev. So you just can't read 'em at the moment.

| Renamed thread to fit the house style.
TO against York is a 3pm KO, also on the Sunday, which is a shame for Yorkshire-based completists. As a result, I'll be at neither.
