| Straightforward for the Dragons, but Hendo Henderson sent off and facing a ban was unnecessary.
Draw at 3.30 this afternoon.

| Interesting to see what sort of side gets put out. Some of the senior side could use a rest, there's the injured contingent who aren't going to play and the reserves are coming off a Grand Final defeat.
We should have enough for a very hit-and-miss York side whatever. Hope my fellow Yorkists have a grand time.

As I hinted above, not a clue what the side will look like. Until we get a squad list announced, I'm reluctant to call it any more specific than 'home win'.

| Apart from giving the injured an extra week, I think that the time is opportune for a rest for Pryce, Casty, and Henderson.
Maybe the coach should pick this team, with some regular first choice players and some reserve team players. I don't know who is hooker for the reserve team so I left his spot empty on the interchange selection.
[iEscare[/i
[iBlanch, Duport, Baile, Pala
Bosc
Barthau
Mounis
Larroyer, Taia
Paea, Pelissier, Simon,[/i
Interchange: [iFakir, Margalet, Maria[/i, =#FF0000?
If this team is picked I predict Catalans to win by 40, with York scoring two tries and leading or equaling Catalans for the first 20 minutes....
Final score 52-12 (9 tries, 8 conversions, vs 2 tries, 2 conversions). Half time Catalans lead 24-12.

Catalans coach is mad to risk star players. Not that there is much chance of them geting bashed around. But an ACL or even a hamstring can go without even being touched by the other team.
Like I proposed the club should mix a core of 7 or 8 first choice players and give the reserves a run in the other 9 positions. It doesn't matter how much Catalans win by since for and against don't count in the CC. Play safe should be the selection rule.

If that is the situation with York, then I was being too generous to predict a 52-12 victoire. Perhaps 72-6 might be closer to the mark?

I wish Id have had the time to read this yesterday. Catalan were -64 on the coupon. With such an inexperienced york side away from home this was the proverbial banker.
92-8 was the final score and so we are in the QF's again.

| Main thing now is to get a home game draw.
Second thing is not to draw Huddersfield, Wigan or Warrington -- the other teams would be no threat at Gilbert Brutus.
Semi finals will be at a neutral venue.

| That was hard on York. Nice words on Twitter from the Dragons players in regard of York's effort, but for a multitude of reasons, a scoreline like that was almost bound to happen. I hope York come away with something positive from it and that it wasn't a wasted experience.
Next round: At home would be a huge boost.
When is the next round anyway? (he says, full well knowing that he's already online and could just look it up)

| A win is a win for us at the moment.
Anyone at home in the draw at 1330 would be a result.

It seems as if nobody knows when it will be. A contact has just been on the phone to the RFL and reports that the commercial director is "in discussions" over where, when, how. In discussions? It should have been sorted months ago.
