Next month, my sister and a few of her mates from Uni are going to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for Alzheimer’s. Read more about this in a special fund raising edition of The Damo Bit HERE - leeds.rlfans.com/readarticle.php?article_id=1523
I want to use this not to just raise funds, but to discuss Alzheimer’s in general – in particular (but not exclusively) in the rugby league community. I’m only aware of three players that were affected by the disease - Bernard Ganley, Jack Gibson and Arther Keegan. Then there’s Eddie Waring who suffered from dementia in the closing years of his life as well. If you know any others then feel free to post on this thread.
So whenever you can donate or help raise awareness to get donations in, then I’d be grateful.

Thanks for reading.
