OK. Wigan beat us tonight in a game that we might have won but didn't.

A hard match that should have given us a good test and has shown us how far we've come from the game at Craven Park earlier in the year.

The bar-coded ones managed to turn over a very poor Widnes side 72-10.

Personally, I'd say that we were better prepared for the derby but will injuries now be worse after such a hard game?

Hull 2 points behind. Catalans likely to be 2 points ahead at the end of the weekend. The best we can hope for is 5th (if we can catch Catalans). 7th and 8th will lead to an away run in the play offs. 5th or 6th see us with an initial home tie I think (correct me if I'm wrong).

This derby match is all set up to define where we finish in the play offs this season and our points difference is appaling because of THAT Wigan game earlier in the season.

The sky commentator commentating for Sky who was at the Hull match labelled the performance of Widnes after 30 minutes as embarrassing and truly awful. Wouldn't read to much into the score line.

as for our game tonight, widnes were shocking, if we hadn't put the points on them that we did no doubt we would have been crucified for our lack of attacking play

game is 50/50 for me, cant call a winner, fc players have Wembley places to earn, rovers player will want to get revenge from magic

At least they have more respect for Hull than to rest half of their first team

After 30 minutes or so it was 10-10.

Widnes were awful in the second half, we weren't at the top of our game (especially early on) but we played some good attacking rugby league. Just what we needed after such a tough semifinal last weekend.

You can read what you like into the scoreline but we got the win and that's the main thing.

Not bothered about winning in the derby. League is gone anyway, frankly its a joke that the playoffs are the top 8. Would rather come out with a clean bill of health for the final.

I expect it will be an easy win for Hull KR as we will be looking forward to Wembley. I expect the main theme of the night will be constant chants of "You'll never win at Wembley", including when KR score tries

Think next weeks game will be an epic. As a hull fan our form as been erratic, but to beat you in your back yard will need an enormous effort. For me in the last few years we have had the better team, yet rovers have always come out and played with passion and a greater desire to win than us. However, right now I think your playing your best rugby since coming back into SL, and with arguably the best team you have had since coming back. This game is going to be awesome, can't wait.
