Yeah - bit of a strange one. I'd have put him not far off Mossop, but he's ended up behind Dudson, Flower and Crosby.

Scott Has played well in all the games he's played for us this year, we have a policy at Wigan to not 'over play' our young players, rotating players in and out. You'll see the likes of Sam Powell, Logan Tomkins, Dom Crosby, Jack Hughes, Anthony Gelling [When Fit, Gil Dudson, Tom Spencer, George Williams [And anyone else i'm missing drift in and out of the squad with regularity. I wouldn't be surprised to see Scott back in the team for the Match against Wakefield, by all accounts, he played a stormer at Leigh at the weekend.

He had played in 4 of the previous 7 games before this weekend, so he's getting plenty of game time. I think with Lauaki coming back into the squad after about 16 or so games out has had a little to do with him not playing over the last couple of weeks, he's been in good form too.

I thought Lauaki was really good on Sunday night.

Bit strange that you'd pay a fee for a player and then send him to Leigh, but when there's Mossop, Prescott, Lauaki, Flower, Dudson, Crosby and Taylor I guess you can rotate them a little bit and keep players fresh for the business end.

Tomkins and Charnley are both established first team players, with over 100 apps a piece [150 in Tomkins' case Now should there be a dip in for for either player, they may very well see their spot go to a young player waiting in the wings.

The players I mentioned have less than 30 apps each. With the exception of Jack Hughes, who has been an ever present for us this year, apart from this weekend.

We have a squad that is, as is quite large, able to sustain to rotating of younger/inexperienced players.

You can also factor in Iain Thornley who has played every game this year - mostly due to the fact he has come on leaps and bounds, and partly because we aren't blessed with an abundance of quality centres [Same across the entire league really.

Edit he hardly deserves to be dropped, just to bring in a young lad who may not be actually ready for the step up just for him to 'get a sniff in' as you put it.

Taylor is a big head, been sent to Leigh to learn some humility. No doubt he has talent and will be a future star for Wigan, but he has a lot to learn about fitting in with your team mates.
