| ....it appears could be offered a S/L lifeline by Hull KR. Rovers have been in talks with his representatives over of a possible pay-as-you-play deal to bring him to MS3 Craven Park.

| I would be very surprised if this came off. When he proves his fitness somebody will offer him a contract with guaranteed money. Cant see why a player with his pedigree would agree to a pay as you play deal.
That said if he signed for Rovers he wouldnt have to re-locate and he does have family in Hull who are Robins.

| Strange signing if its true, why would a player sign a contract on a pay as you play deal when he would be unlikely to be in the 1st 17 if all other players are fit.

| Leeds have offered the same deal, but after criticising Brian McDermott in his recent autobiography, he may not feel comfy back at Leeds, although he is currently continueing his rehab for his injury there.

Why is it strange? Keith Senior has a similar 'pay as you play' arrangement with Leeds.
Having read Senior's autobiography where he slates the Leeds coach maybe he would favour a new start away from Leeds. I know Rich Agar spoke to Senior but the Wakefield Board pulled the rug on the deal due to the club reaching its own salary cap.
Sanders talks in cost/benefit terms and from this perspective I can see Senior filling an obvious gap in Rovers squad (lack of experienced cover in the centres) whilst at the same time developing Salter and Heil and even rubbing off on Welham and Webbo.
I reckon it is a gamble worth taking mind you I said the same about Mason!!!!

| as pay as you play it might be a good deal for Rovers, personally i reckon he'd demand at least a reasonable guaranteed wage plus a hefty appearance bonus. Be behind Welham/Webster for me (getting on a bit and not proven after a bad injury either) and in the back row its not like were short of cover, experience in abundance though which is always good in a squad. Depends on wage for me

Totally agree, would only be back up for us so if its benificial to HKR then seems a good ploy- Webster as turned him inside out when playing against him the last 2 seasons.

| If we do get him on a pay as you play contract it can only be a good thing for the club. He will have to be fully committed to the team and train as hard as he can and impress to get game time.

| Another, over-the-hill, 30 plus Aussie...
I honestly don't see anything wrong with this signing should it be on a pay-per-play basis, the guy is obviously proven, does he want to stay in the game coaching after or is he going to launch a successful e-bay regime?

| Why does he want to do this, surely his horses can't be that expensive to keep?
Thinking about it, haven't we been linked with Keef for about the last four off seasons?
His days as a centre are finished and do we really need another second row? No. Anything standing in the way of game time for Cox is a bad thing.

| Bit of a strange move but can't see any harm
Even if he doesn't get much game time Salter & Heil should be able to learn plenty from him

Was this from the same person that gave you you're details about Mason?
If so I'd take it with a HUGE pinch of salt.

Considering a "pinch of salt" is a tiny measure, what is a HUGE pinch of salt?

So for clarity, you can only read that chaps posts, providing your given a HUGE pinch of salt by that bloke, or someone similar?
Personally I believe that the guys hands are normal and it's the woman who is in the wrong, with incredibly tiny hands.

That's Zhao-Liang, the World's tallest man (reet good at basketball) of course he has massive hands, very busy at this time of year appearing in "Jack And The Beanstalk" with Linda and Maureen from THE NOLANS at The Shaw Theatre. As well as his usual pinch of salt duties.

| I have nothing against Senior, but it is rather ironic that some on here took the P out of us signing aged players, yet miraculously this seems a good idea to some Rovers fans.

That's how this game works, there's only me that's against it so far.
If his brother started posting on here shouting at people when they opine that Keef's rubbish like he used to years ago on Sub Standard then I'll be all in favour.

Depends on the player I suppose, Keith Senior is still a very good SL level player.
