They've just shown os sky that some Hull KR fans are at the Batley v Fev game tonight, allegedly to support Ben Cockayne - a bit bizarre of them, if true.

I don't get how they can go to support someone thats been released because of police incidents

Why is it bizarre a lot of fans are gutted that Ben has been released i for one.

The police have not pressed charges over the last two incidents

Nothing strange about it at all, we were very sorry to see him go as he gave 110% week in week out. I'm off to watch him when Fev play York in a couple of weeks. He left us with a lot of very good memories over 5 and a half years.

Perhaps after almost 6 seasons as a Rovers player they wanted to thank him for his on the field efforts.

Must admit i never felt the urge to support James Webster when he went to FC and he was a far greater player for us and a far better person.

I thought it was a bit sad really. Full HKR gear on to support a player that has dragged the club's name through the mud on more than one occasion. Still, each to their own I suppose.

I went to watch Gareth Morton and Byron Ford at Oldham and then Gareth at Donny, Andy Ellis at Barrow, Iain Morrison at Widnes who were playing Halifax featuring Jon Goddard and Ian Hardman, just happen to like to see our ex-players play and love the atmosphere at NL/championship games.
