Could Chev Walker be the one to fill the void at off half?

No, other than he wasn't very good at passing as an International centre at Leeds it's a brilliant idea.

Dont think his passing is that bad, IMO.

Well, we'll have to agree to differ on that one then, but I have distinct memories of passes clearing the South Stand during his time there, and his left to right passing is worse than Cap'n Hook's.

Over all though, the negatives of him playing [ianywhere[/i other than in the second row far outweigh the positives. I like Chev as a player but he doesn't have the foot work, rugby brain or off the mark explosive pace to play in the halves. Where he's best is exploiting smaller players and blasting them out of the way through the second row and centre channels.

Think back to last year and how many times he got stood up by centres with [iany[/i sort of footwork out wide (I'm thinking Paul Sykes at home for goodness sake) and imagine him defending in the middle of the park against the likes of Eastmond or Burrow. As for a kicking game, I'm covering my eyes at the slightest thought of it.

Your best bet would be Galea to 6 and Chev into the back row.

If I'anson doesn't cement his place by the time Walker is available for selection (any new estimates as to when that might happen btw?), I can easily imagine that happening.

Would be a sensible way to ease him back in but i wouldnt bank on him being ready for first team action before Colbons return.

Ford back to stand in for Colbon, Stanley back to cover at 6 for me, but then perhaps I wear rose-tinted specs too much.

Brett Finch is looking to over to England next season he would be a excellent signing, think you'd have to lose Webster and Galea though.

The prospect of losing Webster doesn't bother me, but I would like to keep Galea.

As an aside, it was good to see Chev training this morning. Was doing his work seperate from the rest of the squad but was good to see him running again.

I aggree with you totaly, Webster imo is getting back to his best, he has looked very sharp since reverting back to centre plus top quality centres are hard to come by.
I for one hope he continues with his goood form and would definitely like to see him offered another contract.
