the problem is that no ref's are EVER brought up before the rfl no matter how bad they are (and i mean that across the board not just the weekend match) all the games have camera's there and it cant be that hard to bring em up on the really bad decisions and say how did you come to that decision when you had a clear view? The answer is always that there isn't enough referee's of standard etc but surely they can be trained up so there is a bigger pool of top flight referee's and poor performances mean a drop into nl and maybe a loss of bonus.

i thought he got both the Briscoe knock on and Tompkins held/not held wrong. looked a defo knock on from where i was stood and both Tompkins elbows hit the floor whilst Briscoe has hold of him meaning the tackle is complete, but mistakes are expected nowadays as the game is so fast. I wouldnt want to be a ref, they get booed as they jog around Craven park for there warm up, and thats before the game has even started, Refereeing??? no thanks.

i agree on both counts but he was 4 yards away from the tompkins held/not held and the 3 players involved's body language alone said he was held. from 4 yards i dont know how fast the game has to be to not see from there. but fair post imo, didnt alter the result tho

it was the score which put Wigan back in the lead so its hard to say whether it affected the result, if they hadnt scored then maybe they would have grown more frustrated and blown it like they did against Hudds. Personally i agree that Wigan would have gone on to win, as they seemed to have more left in the tank than we did.
TBH Wigan were great to watch, moving the ball wide with great speed and always looking to get it out wide is what rugby should be about, none of this one man rugby lark.
