A win today will take us back up to third, a loss today will see us down to 7th or even 8th if London win by a decent score at N Wales, and we lose by a few this afternoon.

I agree with the points Weighman raised. We can't afford to lose the forward battle and we need the halves to really make a contribution.

I hope Pete Green can get us playing the type of rugby that will not only win matches but will entertain us too. Let's get some quick ball to the wingers in attacking positions, not just have them there to drive the ball out of defence.

I think the key today is how well we defend. If we don't show some improvement, Keighley will almost certainly cause us problems. We need to stay focused for 80 minutes, have good discipline, defend as a team, and work hard for each other. If we do that, we'll give ourselves every chance.

It would be great if Pete Green can show he's ready to be head coach on a permanent basis because no one can deny his love of the club or ever forget the years of service he gave us as a player and captain. I really wish him well and hope the players give him the support he needs and deserves.

Barrow lost 70-2 against Toronto, by the way. They had a few players out due to visa problems, and were playing their third match in 11 days, including a trip to Leeds last weekend in the cup.

Happy with the win, but you have to admit we were far from convincing. Far, far too many basic errors especially in the first half. Our kicking game was very ineffectual both in execution and type of kick when in attack. We looked tired and lethargic and gave them a free 10m at every play the ball, compared to Keighley who tried to shut us down. As a player thought Peter Green carried the ball well, but didn't notice any "coaching" chat from him. I think there is still a lot to be done, but happy we won.

Not a classic but a hard fought game which could have gone either way IMO. However a win is a win Charlie Martin was my man of the match.

Well I thought it was a good team display, we attacked well down our left hand channel with Martin, Tali & Barnett .Half backs did ok , the props took the ball up well.
What stood out was the players wanted the win & PG led by example.
Not the finished article but much better .

It was a good effort by the lads. The game could have gone either way at one point but we managed to do enough.

Keighley's discipline was absolutely awful. I reckon they must have conceded at least 15 penalties.

I was impressed by Russ Spiers. Charlie Martin had a good game and Jason Tali always looks a threat when he gets the ball.

Good win, not perfect but better. I feel the team just looks more balanced already. The ball went wide sometimes, got kicked sometimes, went up the middle sometimes. Rather than the same thing every time we had got used to and kept the team guessing. So even result aside we just looked better to watch.

We could and should have won by a lot more given the way we dominated the first 20 particularly, but we got away with the missed chances due to Keighley's poor discipline (in a side with Mike Emmett in, who would have thought?).

Better without being anywhere near where we need to be. Good to see a desire to vary the attack, including getting it out wide (I was beginning to think we couldn't do that).

Keighley were not as good as I expected.

Apparently there were only 17 fit players available so the result deserves more praise maybe ?

There was one point during the game where some people were moaning at the players for not passing it wide because Keighley's defence we set narrow. There is a time and a place. We were bringing it out from our own oline, it was tackle one to three, we were making at least 15 metres a tackle and the quick driving and PTB's won us a penalty.

It was a prime example of when going up the middle works brilliantly!

Exactly Jemmo, last saturday jut about all the Toulouse points came from runs through the middle and TDs near the posts in fact, i'm struggling to recall attacks on the wings from Minga & Maurel.
