A tough test for the lads but a chance to turn around the loss at Keighley in the i-Pro cup.

After the 1st 20 mins , Keighley were the better side . Lets hope we can turn the season around with a win against a top 4 rival .

I would love it if we can manage to win this game, but all known form says a Keighley win.

no games now we can go into saying we might win, dropped points already where we should have got more than we did
hope we can pick up some good form now and go to win every game we play, coz our form so far has been really poor.
this is a tough next 4-5 weeks and we need to be on the top of our game.
if we can win all but 2 we will have done well.

We have got a tough few games coming up. I was looking at the fixture list. We've got Keighley, Workington, Barrow, Whitehaven, Newcastle, South Wales and finally Gloucester.

If things don't go our way, we might only win three out of those seven.

I can't see when we're due to play Oxford. Does anyone know when it's planned to be played?

We're in 4th spot at the moment, three points behind 3rd placed Whitehaven. We're three points ahead of 12th placed Newcastle.

Including the Oxford game, 4 wins out of 8 should probably be good enough to keep us in the top eight. I'd guess 6 wins out of 8 might be needed to keep us in the top four.

We can't afford to slip up against Keighley or else the pressure is really going to grow in the next three games. Keighley will go above us if they win on Sunday.

The club appear to be in one of their no communication modes again . No news since the match report on Monday !

Big blow loosing both Feka & Cas , lets hope Cas at least is available for the Barrow game . Hope Howden can find some form . We are really doing it the hard way with injuries & the suspension to Thackray has not helped . Cannot understand letting Hanson have another month at Hemel but we do have Muranka back . Looking forward to see how Pete Green goes in this 4 pointer .
York won at Newcastle last night sending us down to 5th.

A win today will take us back up to third, a loss today will see us down to 7th or even 8th if London win by a decent score at N Wales, and we lose by a few this afternoon.

I agree with the points Weighman raised. We can't afford to lose the forward battle and we need the halves to really make a contribution.

I hope Pete Green can get us playing the type of rugby that will not only win matches but will entertain us too. Let's get some quick ball to the wingers in attacking positions, not just have them there to drive the ball out of defence.

I think the key today is how well we defend. If we don't show some improvement, Keighley will almost certainly cause us problems. We need to stay focused for 80 minutes, have good discipline, defend as a team, and work hard for each other. If we do that, we'll give ourselves every chance.

It would be great if Pete Green can show he's ready to be head coach on a permanent basis because no one can deny his love of the club or ever forget the years of service he gave us as a player and captain. I really wish him well and hope the players give him the support he needs and deserves.

Barrow lost 70-2 against Toronto, by the way. They had a few players out due to visa problems, and were playing their third match in 11 days, including a trip to Leeds last weekend in the cup.

Happy with the win, but you have to admit we were far from convincing. Far, far too many basic errors especially in the first half. Our kicking game was very ineffectual both in execution and type of kick when in attack. We looked tired and lethargic and gave them a free 10m at every play the ball, compared to Keighley who tried to shut us down. As a player thought Peter Green carried the ball well, but didn't notice any "coaching" chat from him. I think there is still a lot to be done, but happy we won.

Not a classic but a hard fought game which could have gone either way IMO. However a win is a win Charlie Martin was my man of the match.

Well I thought it was a good team display, we attacked well down our left hand channel with Martin, Tali & Barnett .Half backs did ok , the props took the ball up well.
What stood out was the players wanted the win & PG led by example.
Not the finished article but much better .
