| Morrison could be a gonner folks, contracts are nothing these days and Mr Featherstone could be correct.
And just to confirm, Duffy and Hartley are both Leigh bound, thats not a rumour that's a fact. Toa will be retired and Mills/Paterson/Ostick/Dodd all gone.
But dont panic discussions are advanced with a number of players or so i have been told. No names given though so dont ask! James Ford is a done deal (2 years) we have also signed 2 others which wont be announced until the current seasons are over.

| People have to remember the cap is getting cut next year and currently we sit at the 400,000 mark and havent signed wisely given our current position. Some of the players were letting go are worth 2 players in return on part time deals.

1 problem with Ostick IMO he isnt a front rower, his defence is decent but attack wise he offers nothing. Refused several deals and IMO wouldnt get in a fully fit team.

| The rumour at Featherstone was that Fletch was still waiting on a offer from Widnes - seems a strange one, but I guess it depends on how much he is on.
I think the main thing will be to build a big pack. We have all seen the difference in our performances and results when players like Pickersgil, Morrison, Fletcher and Gryashon have been in the team compared to when they haven't.
Not too bothered about Hartley, Duffy, Mills or Paterson going, but if we are on about value for money, surely both Smithy and Webster must be sailing close to the wind. Niether has set the world alight and are reportedly our 2 biggest earners.

Fitness is a key with Fletch as well because he is injured a lot of the time and its no good having him in when his fitness isnt up to scratch and when he isnt playing regulary
Have to agree on the Smith and Webster as well because both where expected to have better seasons. Not saying they have been awful, far from it, its just as these are the supposed highest earners they should be performing more consistently

Aye! Was before cap announcemnet mind, so maybe just holding fire due to that, top quality player best 2nd row in this division easily, if he was a tad fitter would certainly be in SL!

They have when they've had a dominant pack around them and that has been our biggest downfall this season.

| We can actually spend upto 400K next year if we can bring in £1m.
Cant see anyone else if this divison being able match that. Some players will obviously be moved on. Think we need a new scrum half, Webster's done ok but there are better, younger Scrum halves in this division which probably come cheaper.

Can't it's 40% of income to a MAX 300K, it was 50% to a max 400k!

Does anybody have a rough idea what our current income is now and how much attendance wise would we have to increase to hit the 1 million mark?
Hopefully we can see a move back to Sunday for next year and get a steady fixed home slot of 3pm. Attendances will naturally increase from this year if that happens and it will also depend on the quality of player brought in. Next year will be key for a lot of clubs as it's the final year to tick the box (glad we have already got that out of the way) and we IMO need to cement ourselves as firm favourites averaging a 4,000+ weekly crowd.

| Apparantly SO'C said at the last player of the month awards that our income is around £750,000.
I've got a great idea - The club introduces a new £50 scratch card - with a guaranteed win of £50. Someone sits in the office, scratces off 5,000 scratch cards, put the £50 through the till 5,000 times and Hey presto our income hits the million pund mark. Alternatively, Stobarts could buy £250,000 worth of merchandise to sell through their website, with any remaining stock sold back to the club at the end of the season.
Maybe SO'C is happy that the cap is lower, at the end of the day, its less money he has to pay out. Could even end up making a profit next year?

| Cheers for that! Didn't know and really interesting! Surely the surge in Merchandise this season can only help!
Also explains why SOC happy to cut cap! Prob hoping that we'd hit the 1mil (which no other side will) then we'd have an extra 100k on anyone else
LIKE IT!!!!

| We are the only club that could potentially hit 1 million in this division but if the rough figures V4E just gave are right then that's a bloody tough ask. A massive advertisement push needs to go out next year. It would be great if say the club announced season tickets at £100 for the year for adults. Lets say we can then push to 2,500 season ticket holders and every season ticket holder gets £10 of the home shirt for next year?

Yea not bad! Wondering if 750k is current estimate or last seasons takings?
Surely having Vikingstorm back in one form would hugely boost sales!
£3 X 500(minimum per game) x 14 games (worst prob) = £21,000 extra in pot!
