It's the aftermath of a very poor season EY. Even the Radford haters have disappeared although they do re-emerge on the back of uninspiring signings. A big name signing is needed and soon to rekindle interest and boost pass sales. At the risk of being the harbinger of gloom I can see sales well down on the past couple of years. Much as I admire AP he hasn't followed up on his promise of moving non achievers out and bringing in 3/4 significant signings, unless of course Dawson-Jones and Thompson are these signings.

My opinion is a big overhaul is not needed next season - that will come in 2020. Just one or two big aggressive forwards to compliment what we have now will do.

Back to back cup wins and SL semis seem a long time ago.

The RFL are “hoping” to have the two tests streamed on their Our League app.

I can see there being players signed up for 2020 already. I guess you have to balance up whether it's worth investing in somebody short term or not if it is the case we have potential deals.

i think a spot of realism wouldn't go amiss, we did a lot of contract work last year re signing players etc, Imo there isn't a lot left on the salary cap, signings where never gonna be big unless we shipped out 2 or 3 big players which if we had would have then been labelled a selling club, players brought in decent squad fillers

2 years for a player who has not proved himself in Super League despite plenty of chances is very generous.

I hope he proves me wrong.

Other factors are that the ‘infrastructure’ of the board is now very old and doesnt work well on modern tablets and phones. Ive logged in on my Ipad and Android phone and you get issues on both formats.

Also RL in general feels in a rut, crowds are down at most teams, international tickets arent flying out the door. I hope this latest fomat change at least stops the rot and the game can build again.

Agree, but the I suppose you have to make it attractive for those stop gap/cover type players to want to come too. A bit of security for them and their families etc, whereas you'd not get that with a 'prove yourself' one year offer.

Message to Marcus. Big aggressive forwards should not go round complimenting other teams forwards game is going soft. Now if you want some to complement what you already have that is ok.

Looks like Leeds are looking to release players under contract including Garbutt and Cuthbertson. Shame we haven't got a quota place as Garbutt is the kind of big aggressive prop we need.

If cheap signings like Dawson for 2 years mean we sign someone like Pangai Junior next year then it will be fine with me

Had the pleasure of a safety course down Poorhouse Lane yesterday in one of the suites in their magnificent new stand.


Quite enjoyed marching into the reception area to ask for directions adorned in a Hull FC polo and padded coat.


The rain cleansed me a touch as I strolled to Falcon for a couple of beers in my dinner break.
Bought some high grade disinfectant from the neighbouring Poundstretcher upon leaving the ground at full-time and scrubbed myself down with two showers yesterday evening.
