For me its a no brainer, one player has the x factor, is exciting and can step into the halfs if needed, the other is not a bad player but considering his size is missing that X factor that seperates normal players from the special ones

Conner has to start from now on

Connor's a real talent, with the sort of competitive niggle we've not had in years. Needs a contract extension IMO. I like Griffin, think he's been carrying an injury most of the year though.

Connor definitely, quickly becoming one of my favourite players.

Depends what you want vs the team you play..both bring different things
Barring Shaul who's long rangers and nature of being a full back give him big numbers Griffin is our number 1 metre man. Averages over 9 a carry. With a quick play the benefit to houghton shaul etc is massive. In some games youll want that. Vs a team like Cas I'd like Connors smarts. But I could understand Griffin playing vs Leeds. Horses for courses etc
I'll be happy however Radders goes. Not a bad position to be in

Connor, very tidy and intelligent player who is ultra competitive. Potential game breaker and another player that makes opposing defences have to think a bit more, him and Kelly down the right channel look very slick.

Balance of team is so much better with Connor in the centre.

Griffin runs strong and makes good yards but so does most of the rest of the team.

Connor has creativity, something that remains our weakest point.

Connor for me as well, we have plenty of big blokes to do what Griffin can do, though I do think Griffin has improved loads this season.

That's how I see it. Connor is the sort of player all sides need. Aside from his undoubted talent he is a bit of a wind-up merchant. There were some hilariously angry tweets about him last night from supporters of other clubs.

I like Griffin and I think he's has a role to play at Hull but we are lucky as it stands to have a fit squad so for me it has to be an unchanged XVII next weekend. who knows at some point we might see Connor and Griffin as a centre/wing partnership.

I think Connor needs to cut back on his winding up of the opposition, or one day it'll get him into real bother.

Got to be Connor and I quite like Griffin, but he has the X factor and is a better defender, I'm not sure Griffin would have scored those try's Connor did last night.

Hopefully his performance has played his way into the 13, as he is wasted on the bench.

Griffin a good back up for the backs though,don't see a place for him on the bench either, lasts nights bench is our strongest IMO.

I've never noticed him doing anything to wind people up but he obviously does. I spoke to him recently and asked him what he'd said to wind Burrow up the other week. He said he didn't know, he said there'd been a few words earlier in the game and he just lost it when he'd laughed at him as he handed him off.

I'm all for it personally as long as it doesn't affect his own game.

I think it depends on what to expect from the opposition. If its an up the middle tough forward battle then I think Griffin would get the nod.

If its expected to be an open game (like it would be against Cas) then Conner all day long

I know we've got options in the back row but I wonder whether Griff' would make a decent second row ? Brett Delaney of Leeds springs to mind; signed as a centre, ended up in the back row.

Thats where i think he will end up but he needs to up his work rate and work on his tackling.
Doesnt have the guile,footwork,or pace for a centre.
Connor is not the fastest thing on two legs but has a football brain,great hands,can step, and pass a good ball with ease.
That said i still maintain Griffin can do an impact job in the second row coming off the bench.He is big and strong which is useful against a tiring defence.
If fit for Friday i expect he will take the bench spot from Fash.

I think you need specsavers.Griffin is far from our fastest back in fact id back Talanoa against him in a foot race.
yes he lacks guile,has no footwork at all just runs straight and tries to use his strength and power and for a big man hardly breaks any tackles.
His try return is poor and in my opinion a disappointing signing.
His brother is a second row as you will know and that could well be his best position in our team coming off the bench.
He came off the bench ( forget the game) and had a brief spell in the second row and looked effective running at a tiring defence.
Dont think you get many in agreement that Griffin is our fastest back barring Shaul.

You've been telling us all season what a poor signing Griffin is, with monotonous regularity.

He's made more tackle busts, fewer errors, twice as many metres, fewer missed tackles and more clean breaks than Conner.
Not what I would call poor.

They are both contributing to the teams success this season, I like Connor, but one hat-trick doesn't make him into a world beater.

Some people seem to forget that we have a squad of players, and it's not just about this season, this time next year there could well be more gaps to fill.

after a slow start Griffin imo has been a good signing, runs hard and straight and his tackling has improved, big lad to boot, connor offers something different as does tuime, glad we got all 3

I am not saying Connor is a world beater because he scored three tries my posts have always been that Griffin has been a disappointing signing.
Dropped by Radford at one stage as he was so poor but i agree his recent performances have been better but on the question of Connor or Griffin at right centre most agree they would rather have Connor.
At best if fit Griffin will take a bench spot for Leeds.
Still maintain his best position is possibly in the secong row.

You appear to be supporting your claims that Griffin is a poor signing by making statements which are clearly untrue.

Fully agree. Both bring something different to the team and have played a full part in another Top 3 finish and successful Challenge Cup campaign.

You still have not answered the subject question Connor or Griffin
lets have your opinion either/or and nothing to do with trying to create a case that Griffin is not a disappointing signing by checking and quoting stats.
Given Griffin has been given an extended run by Radford in the centre and Connor hasnt there can be no doubt on his few performances as a centre that Connor is a far better option than Griffin and deserves to keep his place.
