So with the Canadian team now confirmed to be joining the 3rd tier. How do you think it will pan out? or work out for that matter. how will fixtures be managed? teams in the 3rd tier, can they afford the cost to go to Canada? it all seems very strange to me in how this will work.
your thoughts?

| They are gonna play home-away in month blocks so fly over here for four games and vice versa. They are paying for travelling teams accommodation and transport. The RFL are putting no money into it. This argument is still raging on VT.

| luckily the rfl aren't putting any money into this. if they did, I think it would be nailed on that they have finally lost the plot

| Looking forward to seeing how this works and how the teams and fans from both sides of the Atlantic react to it.
The RFL can't lose. If it takes off and rugby league starts to filter into the USA and they like it, then they'll hit the jackpot. If it doesn't, we go back to life without Toronto...

But what about the fans?
I am all for expansion, but Canada seems a little too far away!

| How will the fixtures work at present 15 clubs , each club plays 14 games 7 home & 7 away.
The top 8 then play each other once ie 7 games 4 home & 3 away or 3 home 4 away, depending on league position after 14 games.
Then play offs .
Get it .
with Toronto in league 16 teams, seems unfair if everyone doesn't have to travel.
Lost interest I have , hope we the Dons get promotion !

| The travelling aspect must give them a big advantage both home and away in a semi pro league where they will have weeks at a time together. Not sure how it will work in SL when there is a mix of games on Thursday through to Sunday and it could lead to some short turn arounds with ridiculous travelling requirements. Hopefully it will be the catalyst to growth in canada and they can play over there in a competitive league eventually

it may see the end of thursday night rugby with a bit of luck, as most clubs play friday nights now, even that would be a push if arriving back on a sunday night/monday morning flight
