Did anyone get one tonight? not for the first time I didnt see anyone selling any

Apparently there had been a problem at the printers and the programmes were due to arrive at 8pm. Don't know whether they did eventually turn up

Didn't see any so I'll pop into the shop on Saturday.

I hope Hull get some compensation from the printers, will have cost them a fair bit in lost sales.

Out of interest what are people's thoughts on programmes in this day and age? IMO as a fan they were probably the best and most reliable source of information, news and updates on a club years ago, but since the internet really took off I found that I was buying less and less, to now where I very rarely buy one.
With the internet (eg social media), printed press, TV, radio etc do you think they will always be around?

I had a good look around for one but couldn't find any on sale.

Have similar thoughts to you Roofs. I rarely buy a programme because I use other media for news and info. I personally don't think they will last to be honest unless they can find something innovative that makes them a must read all the time.

I read it on Fc Live. Wouldn't mind paying a smallish amount for a squad list at the game though. I'm not always 100 per cent familiar with every player from every team.

Used to buy a programme years ago before the internet .

I think a lot of people myself included just buy a programme out of habit nowadays

I advise everyone to read them as they directly address just about every issue that has been discussed on here in the last few weeks and months. Many won't like or accept his comments but they are pretty comprehensive and indicate that he will not waver from the course he has embarked on - and that includes our coaching setup.

Fans of Gentle are going to be particularly peeved, BTW. Fair to say neither he nor McRae are on AP's Christmas card list.

Are the journeys of these 3 really comparable to Radford? I'd also argue that these 3 were not the architects of the changes at those clubs but rather the beneficiaries.

Anyway it's blatantly obvious the coach is going to be Radford for the foreseeable future so we just have to get on with it.

That was obvious to me after the interview and has been backed up by the programme notes. He's been given a free pass this year to solve things. I think next season will be another matter though.

I agree.Clubs cant afford a bad start next season.
Lose the first 3 or 4 matches and Radford will be on his bike.

Nail on head, we need the 'architect' to come and make the plans and lay the foundations first like McGuire, Brown, Tony Smith & Brian Mclennan did. McDermott, Wane & Anderson have all done good jobs to continue their clubs progress, but they didn't get the ball rolling.

The bit that hints at why Gentle got the Spanish Archer is this bit for me:



Seems that Gentle didn't deliver on certain targets he was given.

Or, possibly, Pearson feels that he, Radford, and Tony are capable of implementing the blueprint used at these clubs without using a 'guru' from Australia. After all, it's now common knowledge what was done and how it was achieved. In fact I'd wager that Pearson asked Gentle to set these structures up and he failed to do so - see the comments I quoted above.

"I will continue to back Lee through this season and into the next".
This suggests to me that Radford may not be here until the end of next season and may be on his way if we have a bad start.

I doubt anyone at the club on the coaching side has a job for life and rightly so.

The programmes were late arriving from the printers they did not arrive until 9.25 by this time the security would not let them in.I am a programme seller and did not get paid because we did not sell any but we may get additional payment at Fridays game. There is talk of giving Hull v cas match day programme free to every person that buys one for the saints game see you Friday East Stand

Really? you think he would sack a coach halfway through next season with the structure to come? suicide.

I think he'll do it early on. First half dozen games will shape Radders future. If we're struggling as we are now then he'll be on his way.
