| Well if Salford have offed him should Pearson go get him. He could help in all aspects of player recruitment and coaching. He must be hurting and I think whoever gets him next is in a win win situation.

| Well it depends what he'll be doing I guess as there's not really a position for him. We have a Director of Rugby/Football in Motu Tony and a First Team Coach in Lee Radford so I could only see him fitting in as some kind of consultant.

| Although Noble's greatest triumphs came at Bradford almost ten years ago, I still think he has something to offer. After leaving Odsal he walked into the mess that was Wigan 2006. He steadied the ship and (in my opinion) laid down the foundations upon which greater successes were built after his departure. His one year at Crusaders resulted in them gaining a play-off spot, which was no mean feat when viewing that club's three year stint in Super League.
I still think he could play a part in changing the attitude/culture at Hull Fc, which is the reason why we continue to under-perform and under-achieve as a club. He should have been brought in after the 2011 season with a young assistant alongside him who would take over at an agreed time, thereby providing continuity within the coaching set-up.
If Noble had been appointed in Sept 2011 then he could have done a similar job to the one he did at Wigan. Putting in sound foundations and a winning attitude & culture which runs through the club. He may not have been the one who ultimately lead the club to the summit, but he certainly would have given us a hefty shove up the mountainside.
The problem with parachuting him into the club now is there is no obvious role for him without disrupting the current set-up, which in turn could cause further problems. Unless Lee Radford was prepared to stand down to take a role as assistant/heir to Noble sometime further down the line, which seems unlikely.
The time to make this change was in September 2011, I'm not convinced the current landscape would permit it without yet more short term disruption being incurred.

People seem obsessed with changing coaches. There's no guarantee that any coach will succeed.
I wish people would just give Radford half a chance.
Whatever he does is being analysed to death - he might be right, he might be wrong, but the bottom line is it's down to the 17 players on match day to do themselves justice and perform to the best of their ability.

| IMO Radford needs an experienced head around him and with his Bradford connection I think Noble would make an excellent assistant to him. Whether he would do that is a up to Noble

He did but strangely enough that is about the only time he wouldn't have been operating under a full salary cap. He inherited a good side and set up at Bradford that was well (over?) funded, the Wigan side he came to may have been under performing but it was cheating the salary cap and had a strong junior set up, just at that time they usually ended up elsewhere.
There is no recent evidence he can win the big ones at a club that isn't top 4 at the moment and that is the category Hull are in.

Fair points, but it was Noble's decision to give Wigan's youngsters their chance, you are right that a few years before they let an entire team of quality youngsters leave for nothing, Shaun Briscoe, Luke Robinson etc
I don't think Noble is the 'perfect' choice, but I think we have to accept that after several years in the doldrums now, we are no longer the attraction for coaches and players we where in the early-mid 00s, and Aussie coaches may look at how we ditched Sharp & Gentle and think twice about moving their family over here.

| He is an outdate coach, who thinks too short term all he does is go somewere and either spends loads of money like he did at Bradford, Wigan and Salford or he brings in loads of overseas players and neglects the youth systme, like he has done at all of his clubs.
The fact he loaned out Sneyd and then signed Smith, says it all.

| Rdaford needs to be given time (although after the widnes game I wasn't happy with him), he has only had 8 games, but already we can see improvements in performances and recruitment.

| The strangest thing about Salford getting rid of Noble is their choice of replacement, IMO. Harris' head coaching record is pretty poor.

I've often said this to friends about Noble at Wigan. Maguire and Wane get all the credit because they're the ones that got the silverware but I do think Noble had a large part in putting things in place there to lead to that success.

Exactly what I have said elsewhere. The time to bring him in would have been after Agar left. I just don't see a position for him now other than say a consultancy role of some kind and I'm not sure that Noble would want that and anything other than that would be stepping on Motu or Radders toes.
