Lynch out Johnson in

Hull FC coach Peter Gentle has made one change to his squad for Sunday’s derby against Hull KR at MS3 Craven Park.

Veteran prop Andy Lynch misses out with a minor leg injury but the club’s reigning Player of the Year is not facing an extended spell on the sidelines, his place this week taken by fellow front-rower Paul Johnson.

Youngster Chris Green will also be pushing for a place in the Hull pack having retained his place in the 19-man squad, with Green crossing for the controversial match-winning try when the two teams last met at the Magic Weekend earlier this season.

Winger Jason Crookes is the other player looking to force his way into the line-up which defeated Widnes Vikings 72-10 a week ago.

Lynchy will be a big miss been playing very well of late.

Big blow lynch being out with his current form.

Personally I'd bring in green over Johnson.

Same as last week I expect with Green or Johnson in for Lynch and every thing crossed we come through it unscathed.

Also Horne a slim chance for next week, so presumably a good one for Wembley?. Would be a dilemma if DJ and Miller click.

Horney off the bench for me if fit

If Whiting is on the bench too it means the bench is a bit lightweight.

Presumably Heremaia will also be a sub which means room for only one prop.

Unless Whiting starts at FB

As above, best Horne can hope for is bench spot and for me that would only be down to injuries or Shaul having a nightmare next 2 games .

If he does, you have to go with Whiting and adjust bench accordingly

Lynch has just had a bit of stuff cleaned out of his knee but will be fit for the final, routine stuff just not being risked while Horney is running fine in straight lines but still suffering a bit when dodging and stepping etc. coming along though!

If Horne's on the bench, maye Azza could miss out. Would be harsh.

Think DJ & Miller are clicking already, Miller getting better with each game, could be a risk playing Horne at HB after long lay off (that said he did'nt do a bad job in 0icon_cool.gif. Think only chance Horney will get is if PG is unsure of Shaul at FB, lets see how he goes on Sunday. Whiting needs to be on bench for Wembley so personally would not want hiim being considered as a starting FB. Dilemma indeed......

This will never ever happen, unless azza is injured, only way horne plays is if shaul as a nightmare against rovers

I would play Horne against Salford (if fit) and rest DJ (think he will be rested regardless), can't see where Horne can fit into the Wembley squad at present unless Shaul is pants in next 2 games. It's a tough call as Horney was argueably our best player this season prior to getting injured

Good to see that we have gone with our best available squad, we need to win this match if possible, keeping the momentum going is also very important.

Doesnt look good for Horne, which is abig shame fod him.

Agree fully. Unless Shaul has a brilliant derby, and then it presents a bit of a dilemma.

For me, it's Shaul's spot to lose. I'd be saying go out and make a name for yourself (in a good way!) lets hope PG has a very difficult decision to make and he gets it right.

Correct in my opinion. Shaul's time will come - it could be Wembley this year - but a fit Horney would have been selected in front of him at the start of the season and should be now.

That said if Shaul plays at Wembley I wouldn't be that worried about it and he should definitely play in front of RW at full back if that's the choice.
