I have been in his company a number of times over the years as he was related to a good friend of mine.
All I can say is he was a very funny man and was never short of a word.
Never heard him say a bad word against anything or anyone, he will be sadly missed.

Very sad news.
The microphone act and the chicken impression were both brilliantly simple but never failed to raise a laugh. The sign of a real comedian.

Sad news and didnt realise he was old.My mate works at springhead golf course and he did a few pro-ams there and he saod he kept doing the chicken impression all the time on the greens.On a personal front,i found him as funny as a kick in the nuts.

Not just on the golf course. I've seen him on more than one occasion "doing the chicken" in Hull City centre when someone shouted a request from across the street.
The bloke was barking but fair play to him, he made a comfortable iving from it. RIP |

Spent at least a season on the front of Hull FC programmes, shaking hands with Brian Hancock. having presented him with the 2nd division championship rosebowl in 1978 ish.

Met him in the 60,s when he was on the Hull club circuit. My uncle ran the Embassy Club at the time and he occasionally performed there. A very friendly and funny man and extremely popular with the club patrons. My dad was a pianist on the club circuit at this time and they often were on the same 'Bill'.
