just been told this, so how will this work? will we get the east/south stand?

i would of thought it would be under our terms or they can just do one for me.

What criteria would be sufficiently good enough for us to say 'yes'?

let them keep north and give them upper west, more than enough seats to cover their season ticket holders, everybody happy, nobody can complain about losing their seats

How could we set any criteria ? They will be renting from the SMC and we will be the away team.

Look at it as a chance to see what the North end is like

They need our permission to use the stadium, and our cooperation with the RFL to have the fixture moved.

This could get quite messy if not thought out properly. I've got no problem with Rovers handing us home advantage,cap in hand to your bigger neighbours and the council again,lol

But to counter that arguement why should the 'away' team dictate where their fans sit and the 'home' fans get what is left?

Getting the North and the upper west is hardly being given whats left. There is no difference between the North and South so why change that? Upper West is arguably a better view than the East stand. It would be petty to demand the stands be reversed and will probably just lose Rovers money,so Hudgell on previous will probably go for that option

And if someone is an East/West stander and is a sufferer of acrophobia they should just suck it up I guess.

Plus what is the capacity of the West upper, Is it smaller than both the east and west combined if so then some folks who have paid for a side will end up with an end.

No matter who gets which stands, I can see the SMC insisiting that only they sell the reserved areas

To turn it around, not saying 'yes', means saying 'no'. Selfish bloody-minded refusal is not a good look, to the wider RL community or that of KuH, who own the stadium. You can dress up 'yes' real pretty at least.

Even allowing for that, it might still be possible to make something out of it.
Work out roughly what crowd makes it worthwhile for Rovers to bother with the switch, add a few hundred on because they'd prefer not to ideally, and ask for a share of the gate above that. Knocks the ball back over the net, and might even boost the crowd, if Hull fans know not all their cash is going into Rovers' coffers.
Pearson wants a better deal from SMC - he won't get it from this alone, but a bit of political capital won't do any harm.

'No' is the nuclear option, makes Pearson look the villain and gives Rovers fans an excuse not to turn up for his big cash cow game, which he could do without in these straitened times.

I'm sure there'll be enough space in the west upper and parts of the west lower for those scared of heights and also those who've paid for a side view to accomodate them all.
I've spoken to 2 rovers pass holders already who won't go to the Kc on principal and never have done so there'll be a drop there.

He will be doing this to put our noses out of joint as he knows fully what reaction he will get from Hull fans he also thinks he will make more money for his grubby little club.
If he does rent the ground from the SMC I guess he can also dictate the pricing as the home team.
I don't go to their ground on the principle I don't want to give my money to them and I unfortunately would not attend this game on the same principle.

Or in the East stand with the rest in the West giving you the some of the West as well West upper\North and\or South.
