Anyone else feel that if there was a survey done by the board for fans that haven't renewed their pass, there would be an overwhelming majority saying they want the coach gone? Perhaps that's what it would take for it to sink in.

I don't think they really care tbh. When was the last time we had James Rule doing an interview on the website/HDM/Humberside to talk about how we're doing as a team and a club? He's gone anonymous this season. We heard from Kath once, to complain about the ref in the Cas game.

Most other clubs have elements of success or at least change to keep the fans engaged. Saints, Salford, Cas, Catalans all getting new stadia/coaches, Wire/Wigan at the top. Whilst Rovers have had a nightmare season, they'll still finish in the 8 IMO and are being seen to be making changes to address underperformance swiftly. We're just bumbling along and the response to declining attendances will probably be declining spend on players to balance the books. I've said elsewhere that we'll finish out of the play-offs IMO as we have so few winnable games left. That would mean a play-off record under Agar of 4 seasons, qualifying once and winning none. There's no evidence that Agar's under any pressure at all - on the contrary he is well underway with his recruitment for next year. I never ever go into a game against of the top 6 with a belief we can win, and this belief is entirely based in evidence. Very depressing.

I knows attendances are getting lower, however if we do not progress in the cup and fail to make the top 8 I fear the backlash next season will be very very apparent.
I am definitely not renewing next season if we have Agar as the coach...it is too depressing with no end in sight!

Great post Mrs B and an interesting point about James Rule. Without Airlie Night on KCFM he has been conspicuous by his absence in recent months aside from a few cut-and-paste email responses posted on here.

We will miss the play offs, I feel, which makes Agar's league record a disgrace and should we lose on Sunday that's three seasons without beating a SL club in the Challenge Cup.

because I believe that the club talk down to us and at times treat us as fools. Having said that, probably some of us are for accepting what the club give us in return for out faith and loyalty.

Time for Mrs B to give Sports Talk a call again me think! Maybe you should choose one of the nights when Craig Murdock is on Mrs B and see if he can persuade you that FC aren't 'that far away' like he always does. His comment not so long back of 'There's no guarantee that Wayne Bennett would make Hull FC a better team' was the quote of the year!

Would this be a "phantom" survey like in previous years? Or a proper one sent out with season ticket renewal letters, or taken at the ground.

Surveys are only done by people who give a crap about the opinions of others. Our board either don't, or think they know better, so why would they bother?

Also, if season ticket sales do take a big hit (I'm not convinced they will too much, there are far too many who will still renew regardless of just about anything), they'd have to be stupid not to realise why.

season ticket sales will be down unless something special happens this year which aint going to happen but id still expect 7 and half thousand or so but its gradually coming down every year and how long will it take for the board to actually act and do something. it can take years to build crowds and fanbases up but can take hell of alot shorter amount of time to lose them.
