Still feel it was the blatant kick to the head on Harkin that had a massive impact on our performance that day. Even then we struggled for decent half back cover

He was the unsung hero of our champion side. The guy who got on with his job while the superstars around him gathered the plaudits. Like you say, his injury at Wembley showed just how vital he was to the team. He provided the organizational base from which the backs were able to cut loose. Think he was somewhat underated by most of us at the time.
Glad to see he is doing well today. Like all the players from that era, the mention of his name triggers memories of a great time. Cheers Kev.

Just remember that at that time we also had Tony Dean at scrum half too.

Bunt rarely got it wrong when selecting which of our scrum-halves would play against the opposition. They had different styles, yet both excelled in that position. We could also swap around at off-half too, WTF happened to our ability to attract half-backs?
