Cas aren't out of the woods either as there funding is apparently reliant upon both Wakey and Cas staying in Super League.

What was widnes' highest average attendance for a season?

i think in 2005 when they was last in super league they got an average of about 6.5k, i reckon if they are sucessfull in getting back in super league then theres no reason why they cant get 8k averages with the stadium finally finished and the local derbies will help aswell. widnes for wakey but if wakey move to oakwell then it makes things intresting and hopefully cas getting there new stadia aswell

Could widnes ever average over 10,000? Saints, wigan and wire should offer their current season ticket holders hf price season passes for 2011, hopefully gaining 2000 fans for sl clubs.

I agree with you on Sydney though to many clubs.

If a "new" SL club can bring 6500 fans, and fans that travel then thats a bonus.


I've always thought a West Midlands club might work, lots of sports fans there with Villa, WBA, Wolves etc must be over 100k season ticket holders in that area, get 6% of them interested, and who knows.....
