| We all know tough decisions have got to be taken with the salary cap regulations imposed these days as the balancing of a squad becomes a fine art for SL clubs. Yesterday Turner was relegated to the bench and yet still wasn't given an opportunity to enter the fray regardless of our main workhorse missing for 70 mins and both halves playing their first games in months.
What does this really say about Agar's belief in Turner? It beggars belief why he was on the bench in the first place if this was going to be the case but getting away from that and looking at the bigger picture where does it leave us for next season? We all know Turner can't do anything better than Hall in relation to attacking skills, Hall has more flair, more pace and is a fine kicker of the ball too. If Turner was a man mountain in defence, there may be a minor argument in Turner being the better long term option than Hall, but unfortunately he isn't and has missed as many one on one tackles as anybody this season.
This isnt an anti-Turner post, it's just a simple squad balancing decision that needs to be made. The reason we haven't got 4th this season has been due to a lack of attacking flair. I just want the club to do the right thing and with all pennies needing accounting for now, Hall should be kept.

Too late. Agar's said on hullfc.tv that Hall's off and it's no surprise where he's going.

I agree that Hall should have been kept over Turner....Hall knows he is going and his performance out of position yesterday was superb...Mcguire was flat out and Hall was just jogging alongside him and got him and then he dropped Eastwood in full flight...joined the line well, positioned well....just shows what he can do and its more that Turner ever will do.

I'm not too fussed either way with the whole Hall saga tbh.
However why couldn't Craig put in these kind of performances when he had a contract?

He wasn't offered a deal by Hull , so of course he's got to take employment elsewhere.

As a Leeds fan I've not seen him as much as you guys...but for the reasons you mention Hall looked pretty good to me as your last line of defence. Catching McGuire flat out is no mean feat even with the advantageous angle. You're right about Eastwood too. The lad has some pace and can tackle too. Is FB his best position ? Perhaps you should have played him there with Tansey at Stand Off this season ?

Also as his number indicates why don't you play your number 3 at centre ? He looks a class act and is wasted on the wing.

At the start of 2009 Hally played there for about 4 games (weeks 3-6 or so) and looked great......until one dopey error v Castleford where he dropped a regulation high ball and Cas scored from it. From that moment his confidence dropped alarmingly, resulting in a spell at Widnes which did him the world of good.
Real, real shame as he has pace and a decent kick as witnessed from deep kick offs and decent penalties. I'm assuming he'll be the Rovers no.2 kicker behind Dobson next season.
His form at full back for two games was reminiscent of the solid display in weeks 3-5 of last season and shows that he can certainly cover the role if need be.

Got to say feared the worst for the lad when Eastwood was steaming in towards the posts, fair play to him though. Had his chances for me, good luck for the future to him.
