I don't get on here that often, so not sure if it's been mentioned before, but would I be right in thinking we're the only SL side with an all British back division ?

If so, does this bode well for us ? with most of the craft and guile coming from said positions.

Or does it say we are over reliant on overseas forwards, having only Radford, Tickle and Dowes as possible first 13 players. We have some great young backs coming through, but we seem a touch light on forwards.

Lets hope the likes of Burnett learn alot from the class we have in the forwards.

ha ha he does have a valid point! really like the look of the team this year cant wait for the season to start. i maybe looking from a biased point of view but i dont think Hull get enough credit for the academy especially when you think of the team that won two out of three finals. where now seeing lots of that side in super league but all they go on about is leeds and saints youngsters.

i think we can all agree he will improve us. add to that the youngsters a year older (tuffour, briscoe, briscoe and lyne) and in full time training, halls confidence higher than a year ago, hornes coming to terms with his diabities, young turner, and tansey having a full pre season with us then yes exactly the same.

You've signed three young squad players (I'd be surprised if any get into your starting 13 on a regular basis with a fully fit squad), and your international prop (who hasn't arrived yet) has only played once internationally.

You've lost your starting prop, starting hooker, your main utility man and an impact prop. You've hardly recruited well!
