Good luck to him. I though he was treated pretty badly here tbh but I suppose when a team isn't performing its always going to be the coach who takes the hit. I miss his press conferences too, good old sound bite.

This is why until Agar has cleared the decks of all Sharps bad signings and see how his own recruited team are getting on, I cant see the board having any inclination to have a change at the helm !!!

Let's hope that coastal erosion is not an issue on the Gold Coast then!

Sharp's signings may not have been up to scratch, but at least he could operate his bench.

Agree......he had the respect of the players and he didnt stand no crap with them either......good luck to him...always found him a good bloke and his famed "humour" was spot on.....he got sacked for a damn sight less than what Agar is serving up.

A better head coach than Agar though.

Would have got there in time I am sure of it, his problem was not getting rid of the back stabbers and the injury prone players, which to be fair he signed.

Then how the hell did we win 17 out of 18 with him in charge. Plus get too a Grand Final.?icon_rolleyes.gif

He was not the greatest coach and had faults but he got much more out of his team than others have!!

exactly, he is well respected in the game, and there was relatively few rumours of player unrest/misbehavior whilst he was here, he seemed very much in control

it was just the tactics, recruitment and the dislike of talking to the media that let him down.

His tactics were far better than Agar's - particularly when we actually had any halfbacks on the pitch. His main fault was an over-emphasis on defence and safety which was more like the way they used to play in the NRL than today's SL.
