I'm told that people have been saying that I am speaking on behalf of FC Voices and saying it's not a problem. I infact said I was concerned about it and only ever speak for myself and no one else and try to be objective, I rang the Club as an ordinary fan because I felt aggeived by what I read and was told what I put above I don't know the ins and outs of it but I got an explaination You can see why people don't bother on here any more can't you! In fact I think I'll join em!

Even when it was free it was hard to become a mascot. Every kid wanted to be one back in my day. I don't think its a case where we are looking at every possibility of making money. We have improved facilities, spent a cash load on new players and promoted young lads to first team. It's mainly following suit like other clubs. Some clubs charge more for that and even the whole matchday experience for watching RL, including rovers!

No, I think he does get it, yes other people's kids will be "looking after me" in so far as they may be employed to do the job of the person that looks after me, but it won't be at a direct cost to them.

Anyway, it seems it 2 that pay and 1 that is the luck of the draw, and all 3 get the same experience, so it's the "best of both worlds", those that can pay will, those that can't still get a chance. Rather it wasn't happening, but this seems about the best compromise.

Genuine question...was your education privately funded from nursery to 6th Form (if applicable) because I don't see you complaining about who paid for your education.

One person has a different POV to a few others and it's like being thrown to the wolves. Whatever happened to sensible open debate where both parties meet on common ground.

Standee obviously has a different opinion to the majority of folk, does not necessarily mean he is wrong.

Everyone contributes to society in different ways, some pay more in than others but due to govt legislation / UK constitution, the pot is available to all for different reasons, some we agree with, others we don't.

Start reading Standees "different pov" in the SinBin and the way he talks to and treats people then you'll understand why people react to him the way they do.

Thanks for that, but don't worry, i've been getting stick from people don't agree with me for as long as I've been able to type, I can take it as much as I give it, unlike some poor delicate souls.

But thats the problem Standee. I agree with you on a lot of things as we've debated, but its the way you speak to people thats the problem, if someone disagrees with you instead of taking it, you insult them, then throw you dummy out of the pram when someone does the same to you.

Don't worry, theres plenty of people who have the measure of you and what you are about on here.

I don't often comment on here as I don't have a lot to say about your club, I do enjoy the arguments though and as a discussion about kids being mascot's go this has got to be one of the very best.

Maybe thats the issue standee, you need to get a good woman in your life to calm you down,

Kids are a gift, not a burden and made my life complete in many ways, I paid my taxes, paid my dues and did my bit and gave much more than you ever will to my country but dont look upon anyone less fortunate then me as below me and certainly dont see the unemployed or students as spongers of my taxes, I do my bit as best i can for my family first, myself second and my country third but unlike you I dont carry a chip on both shoulders about life...
And if I wanted to pay to take my lads to watch the match or be a mascot then i would because i can.....and hope that when I cant look after myself my family will do so and not be a burden on society or its health system.

I work with a fella like you, thinks hes the mutts nuts at everything and knows a Marine engine inside out, could sell water to the Lake District but most of it smells of pizz.

I can't comment on how I feel as a parent because I don't have kids but can understand how parents would get rather peeved by this. I just hope the experience doesn't become a "them and us" as is so happening in todays world. That would be very unfair for the kids who couldn't understand why little Johnnie is getting more attention/photos/autographs than little Mary.

The mascot has always been a free to experience (although I know you do have to purchase the full kit if not got it already) and quite rightly so which should be retained imo. I know AP is looking with £ signs at this but its not something new, mascots have been running out with the team for years and years and imo you can't suddenly start charging for the priviledge.
