He beat Brent Webb to get in the Super League dream team 2008. If he's not the best fullback in the league, he's the second best!

| Why would Wakefield want to imperil what looks like being their best season for a while by selling a pivotal player? Unless their finances are under real pressure, it makes no sense. Is he ooc at the end of the year? I suppose they might want to cash in now, if they can replace him immediately and for free.
=whiteWhat is it with Hutchie and his love of mystery btw? Rumours without names, never mind sources - what can be next? Threads started with nothing more than a question mark? If he was in charge of Hull the team would be playing in Kendo Nagasaki wrestling marks, be known only by their shirt numbers and be introduced pre-match like the Stig on top gear. 'Some say we should never have bulked him and stuck him in the back row...'

I disagree with that.Greenshield is better imo, he offers more in attack, plus he is just as good if not better defensively

| dont get me wrong, greenshields is a great player....one of which i would be happy to see at fc....all im saying is that he can be dodgy defensively at times......but if greenshields would be interested then i would take him definatly and release tony...

Then we'll have to agree to differ. IMO Brough has greatly improved with ball in hand - more creative and a better passing game than he had when he was with us. Coupled with his already impressive kicking game and defence this has made him a better all-round halfback.

To be fair though since he's left us clubs have given him more responsibility, when he was at ours he was in the shadows of Horne and Cooke who just gave him the ball on the 5th to kick.

| I would welcome back Brough with open arms. Sure the kid's not a world beater but he sure plays his hardest every game. He has a great kicking game and plays with passion. He organises his forwards and creates gaps and space. I would rather sign a world class 7 but Broughy would do. We would cerainly play better with him playing 7.

From what i can recall, he played mainly in the halves/Centre originally and it was because of his defensive credentials he was installed at FB.

I don't disagree with that at all. In fact IIRC he often played at hooker for us.
I think the time spent in NL1 was also good for him as it allowed him to develop his game under less pressure for instant performance than in SL.
