I reckon they'll be looking at 300/350 k for chase . We should offer something like 250k plus Ellis and I reckon Cas would accept . Wigan may offer a couple of there younger players plus cash also so then it would be chases choice .

Gotta be honest i think it will be more than one IMO, these guys dont give anything away till its done as far as i can see so far but just see a real air of confidence in almost everything they say or do on the subject of signings etc,

A 26-year-old international halfback on the current market for less than we paid for Westerman, and around what we paid (depending on where you read) for 32-year-old prop Lynch? Don't see it. Brough cost £30k plus Kirmond mid-season in the last year of his contract didn't he?

Ellis has already signed for Cas so he wont be able to be used as a bargaining chip.

Like anything, he's arguably 'worth' whatever somebody is willing to pay for him. That will almost certainly be more than £100k. If Bateman has generated a 6-figure offer, Chase will easily.

I'd say he his . He's on a long contract , international half back which most clubs are after and £250k isn't a lot of money , even in rugby . If we paid £100k for lynch then chase would be a bargain at £250k .

No player wins you anything on his own , not even Tompkins . I'd take chase for £250k . Only a few clubs can afford fees now , and seen as we're one of them I think it's irrelevant what we pay anyway . Not as though it counts on the cap .

It is but not huge in modern day terms, if it did happen I wonder what the impact would be on season tickets, "Chase" shirts and crowds for next season. I bet initially we would claw a fair chunk of that back then, dependant on the performances on the field, he could keep on paying it back.
