I was concerned when we signed O'Caroll and quite vocal about it, however I have been happy with his performance and I am not too concerned about his injury at this stage, sounds like normal bumps & twists any of the lads can pick up.

The injury he has was from trying to lift too much in the gym. Not your average bump or twist, simply showing off in the weights room and came a second best to a bench press.

I remember the last new signing who missed the start of the season after attempting to show off in the gym. Worked out quite well in the end.

This is twice he's had the same injury by doing the same thing.

Why wasn't O'Carroll eased back into training. It seems stupid to let a player coming back from a recurring injury go hell for leather in the gym.

Especially when that's how he got injured in the first place.

Defended really well yesterday, really tackles hard. Loved his passion when he made a tackle at the end to seal the game up, he was screaming! Looking forward to see how he, Horney and McKinnon combine.

I thought he looked good for a first run out, in a match that was hardly a game where a No7 would impress. I agree that his defense and enthusiasm looked good.

Also think McKinnon will get a lot of tries for us, he is right up on the oppositions line for every half-chance or kick through.

I think the whole squad/ starting line up look comfortable, even against Warrington we did really look like we were going to lose did we , Gentle and Adam have put together a nice looking squad with youth as the fall back, however confident one or two of those will shine this season too
