Wouldn't play Tanginoa, he offers nothing at present in a game that needs players willing to battle.

Wouldn't play Gaskill because he simply isn't on the same wavelength as his teammates.

Enough talent in that 21 man squad to win whoever makes the cut on game day ,as long as their heads are in the right place we are more than capable of getting the job done .

I think both Gaskell and Tanginoa will get the nod.

I would hope that we've spent the last couple of weeks with Gaskell practicing high kicks to the flanks (especially on Matty Russell's side) where we have an obvious advantage with Johnstone and Murphy.

Why won't he be fit enough, he only played against us a few weeks ago and as far as I know, he's not been injured.

Yeah he did but TBF we should have, same as we should this weekend but the word should doesn't seem to register with our lot.

And we should have won it. Even that understrength and stricken huddersfield side is better than this Toulouse team. Don't think there is a single player of there's that would get in ours, which given how bad we've been speaks volumes. At a push their new prop might but he's an unknown quantity in this comp yet.

He played against us in March. That's quite a while compared to players who play every week.
I guess we'll see what he's been up to in the mean time.

Yes but that doesn't stop him from being fit. I don't think Walker has played since then either but he's fit enough, ditto Fifita. The poster stated he wouldn't be fit enough when clearly he will, that extra match fitness is a separate issue and harder to gauge.

Sounds like Poching is going with the same pack as against Huddersfield. So i'd expect Gaskell for Miller & Hood for Bowes and the rest as you were.

If he's not fit and not playing, then it's a waste that he isn't playing for the reserves.

Very rarely do i post on here these days but as a player i was sometimes very frustrated with my fellow players not being on the same wavelength as me,I see gaskill as just that i didn't particular want us to sign him in the first place but unless i'm flipping blind now but the games i've seen him play so far for us he's the one in my opinion that's has tried to do something different but failed because we are not on his level of thinking, Same apply's with tanginoa not been played enough in his true position and when we can all be on the same wavelength we'll be a good team.

Play with a well earned right to go wide, stretching TOs defence from touch line to touch line

I’ve picked a bench who are capable of playing faster when they come on, upping the pace of the game against a TO who are tiring from dealing with a motivated Fifita, Whitbread, Tanginoa, Pitt’s, Arona & Wood

Bookies have this match off scratch on the handicap. I personally would have Toulouse as strong favourites due to home advantage, the fact that our defence has been poor on average shipping in 25 plus points a match, how very poor we have been over last few matches and how dire our ball control and match management has been, our inability to break down a defence and our soft pack and lack of discipline. Coaching staff will need to have had a blinder over the last two weeks in order to change our fortunes.

Line speed in defence needs work. Hopefully now the Easter schedule should be out of our system meaning those tired bodies are fully refreshed. Don't wait for the player, giving 10 easy metres/yards away. Make them work for every cm/inch.

Yup Gaskell definitely brings different options but sadly the team don’t seem willing to read the script, so no point playing him sadly.
