Squad announced and brough back for next game , really strong looking squad , let’s hope we give it some on Saturday , this is pretty much the strongest side we can put out (except brough) so can’t see any reason why we can’t turn Catalan over , after the debacle of last week looking forward to it !

Feel a bit sorry for crowther but think we are going to put out our biggest most physical side

Personally think Reynolds and Hirst to miss out

It’s great to see players coming back but we need to be realistic. Forwards in particular take a few games to get up to speed so I wouldn’t expect a huge hike in performance straight away.

Also in Sau and MCB, Ashurst has a whole new set up to get used to. Think we are going to look a bit clunky for a few games yet.

Doesn’t mean we can’t win though.

I think that is a very reasonable assessment. Can't argue with any of it.

I'd be playing Max at fullback, and Ryan and Miller in the halfs.
Reynolds and Hirst/Kirmond to miss out.

Also no Sam Tompkins or Michael Mac

Think you're right and I would go with that - especially after what CC said after the London game......

One thing I've seen from Reynolds is effort which is great, however I've also seen no kicking game and quite a lot of his penalties failing to find touch.

I think I might go with this line-up, although don't expect Chezzie to agree with me

Interesting pick, where/how would you bring Reynolds into the mix off the bench?

I would go the same but King at 13, Randell on the bench and Kirmond in the place of Reynolds.

Ashurst is the only second row we have that consistently does the 80 effectively currently but I would say with it been his first game back that may be too much of an ask. Having Kirmo on the bench will give us good options to replace Batch and Matty throughout with him and Tanginoa

Failing to find touch 'does my head in', but I'm not sure about the 'quite a lot' bit, although one miss is one too many.
Brough has missed a few also.

Broughy missed 3 within the 1st half a dozen games I think.

Not sure really, and maybe it's a waste of a bench spot. Just thinking that with the (bad) luck we've had with injuries that having Reynolds there offers some cover for the backs.

That’s true but Reynolds good kicks are very finnesque whereas brought is probably best kicker in super league .

For me after the debacle at London we need some changes , for me whilst Hampshire isn’t a super league standard stand off his pace and ability to break the line needs accommodating .

Jowitt did really well in his run and deserves a shot , Reynolds is perhaps the future but right now we need a win

With Bird, Tomkins and Mcillorum missing, our chances certainly improve and it leaves Catalan relying on winning the forward battle.
We can win this one and "home" advantage should help.

I think we need a big pack so for me we start with Tyler and bring Kyle on when ( hopefully) the Catalan forwards start to tire. We can't afford to have Reynolds on the bench so it is him and either Hirst or Kirmo to miss out.

It's a lot closer to our home than theirs

but we are over the other side the dark side of the pennines

To be fair to Reynolds he only gets game time when our squad is busted and has a big pair of boots to fill but hasn’t let anyone down anymore than our regular first team players have on occasions . I’d put Crowther in front of hirst now in the team if only for his tackling technique which I feel outweighs hirst size on the field.
