Reported in National press that Ricard Owen spent Christmas in the Nick and that he is up before the judge tomorrow at Leeds Crown Court on charge of rape and burglary. A sorry tale if true, such promise in one so young when at Cas, terrible bad luck with major injuries, never far away from trouble , but these charges are extremely serious.

Needs strung up if true.

He's been in Armley over the Christmas and New Year period. Such a sad waste of a natural talent.

Hard to understand where it went wrong when he used to be at his happiest when out rabbiting with his lurchers and ferrets.

He has a brain the size of a pea. Therein lies the majority of the problems. Hasn't took any responsibility for his actions at all as an adult. Shame.

Ok, I know it's an emotive subject but it's an ongoing investigation so please refrain from using defamatory language about Owen. (I.e. what he did or didn't do or even why he did it)
As said above these are pretty serious charges.

He's in court on Wednesday. Let's see what information is released before anyone tries to imply they know anything.

Already seen our name plastered next to his on these disgusting allegations, even though we have already got rid. IF they are proven to be true i hope they throw the book at him.

The guy needs help as well as punishment. I hope he gets both!

I wasn't suggesting that it was the club directly, and yes, they did help him last year, but the guy is very much at risk from his own seemingly self-destructive nature!

Very much a shame for what was once a very talented player. I was at the game he broke his leg at odds all and the noise was sickening. Really hope he can sort his demons out and find happiness in life
