Not such a bad signing as Grix is quite versatile. As long as we get the much needed half back , and experienced prop.

I'd guess we need an experienced half back, another centre, a prop and a back rower.
I'd assume if we get the half back then Finn could possibly be used as cover for half back and hooker.

Two years !!!!! no doubt there were so many other clubs after signing him that we had to give him two years to beat everyone else to his signature.

To me he looks like a type of player who can offer us the same skill level and versatility as Tansey . I therefore expect him to contribute very little a steal a wage for two years

I'm no great fan of Grix but I disagree with your assessment. Grix is a good honest pro who has always tried his best and put in 100% effort. His best just isn't Super League standard and I'm not sure it ever was.

Grix will do the job of both Tansey and Howarth.
When we have a season ticket fan base like we do, who'd do you expect we can sign?

Terrible signing rubbish the first time back up full Back at best but Bjb is. Do not get this one at all wasting much needed cash on improving the team. Dissapointing

One thing is for sure Scott Grix and Keegan Hirst will not increase the season ticket sales or fan base.

As far as spending high levels of money on individual players, the club are capable of doing that. You only have to look at the amount we are throwing down the drain on Anthony Tupou.

Like someone said Grix is barely championship level nowadays, my humble opinion is that we could have done better.

Can't understand the 2 year deal seeing has he is 32 years old and will be 33 in a little over 7 months time.

Anthony Tupou has been disappointing but who would have predicted how his season has panned out? And who's to say that Grix on a lot less money, may prove to be excellent value?
As for Hirst, give him a chance.
After the season we had last season compared to this, people should be getting behind the club, not making more excuses for not buying ST.

IMO very poor example of forward planning. When Shudds were poaching players like Grix and Wood off us they were reaching their peak; Now we are signing them back some six years later. Not the sign of a club trying to move forward, I'm afraid.

You will not find a better organiser of the defensive line than grixy- if you talk to the giants players they all want him at their back. We have missed him massively this season when he's been injured we've gone from the best defensive sides to one of the worst as a result! He works hard and trains hard and one of the fittest in our side. He was one of the few guys in our squad this week not having to play for his survival but you wouldn't ever know it- a model professional.
He won't be scoring hat tricks every week(in the fastest ever time in SL

) but he will go a massively long way to ensuring no one will against you!
