We must ensure that the crowd behaviour on Saturday is impeccable. The eyes of the world, press, Sky, RFL will be watching for any sign of trouble. I hope that the handful of 'supporters' who have sullied our reputation in the past remember that. Especially no goading of other fans.

One thing that I think that the RFL could do to help on Saturday would be for them to pick a decent referee.

Any poor calls against Salford could ignite their minority, whilst at the same time, I think some of our fans are about ready to blow a fuse, after several weeks of poor refereeing in our games.

I know there isn't many decent ones to chose from, but I think Thaler is the best of a below average bunch.

Never had a problem with Salford fans before, and don't expect any trouble on Saturday either.

I think that you have missed my point.

I mean a good and fair referee, but on both sides. One where people wont be talking about the refereeing for days on end, but the match.

If it was a fair referee, Salford fans may not be as uptight.

Also, after recent refereeing performances against Wakey, there are a lot of fans out there at the moment, getting rather annoyed.

I know you are not advocating it Eastern but ref has nothing to do with hooliganism, hooligans are to blame for that.
I'm no angel but I've never felt the need to fight anyone because of a ref decision..... Or even sing offensive songs, or throw beer at people.

It's part of the game and disappointing as the refs can be it's no excuse for bad behaviour on either side.

Well I'm not sure if you went to the corresponding match last season but we had a certain referee called Robert Hicks, I'm sure that I'm not on my own when I say that was the worst display of refereeing I've ever seen by a professional referee, so maybe if Cobb referee's it in the same one sided manner as his colleague Hicks did, and lets face it he's more than capable as we've already found out to our detriment then maybe those poor badly done to Salford fans won't be uptight, one thing for sure though I'll bet you half a crown one set of fans will go home unhappy, uptight or not please God let it be theirs
