| May aswell be training our kids up. Walshaw should be in Gilmour been a very good player but not anymore.Don't get me started on Mr lazy, anyway Johnstone may aswell be in. Riley a loan player that is eager and has 100% commitment which I like!

| Owen is not doing anything for me. Lee Gilmour is different - has the class and the experience and is still very much a good super league player.

| On this one I agree with Newby, Owen hasn't earned a contract for next year as far as I'm concerned.
I've much respect for Gilmour but at 137 years old it's also a no from me.

| I would agree with the OP on this one. Owen is a decent player but his heart was not in it today, shows no urgency at any time.
As for gilmour, yes he has been a good player and is still ok but walshaw, annakin and Molloy would all be picked ahead of him in my mind.

| They are only plugging gaps this year, no contract for next.
I'm happy with Gilmour's effort so far but no contract.
Owen I don't really like.

| Chris Riley is twice the player Owen is. We all watched Owen in the warm up....in most drills was only putting in half the effort of the rest, and was the only one stood up when rest were down stretching till he realised he should be joining in. Needs to show more urgency to deserve more than a stop gap spot at moment, regret we lost Liam Kay still.
Gilmour has done ok for me but again would prefer Walshaw there though we look to be losing him too

| Owen definetly needs to be dropped! I know Reece Lyne has been fab in centre but I definetly would try him on wing instead of owen and let collis be his centre

| I've tried to defend Owen but today he just couldn't be bothered. If we sign him for 3 years then we need our heads read. As for Gilmour he was good 5 years ago but is now past it i'm afraid. He's served a purpose for us but now is the time to move on.

Totally agree Feline. Owen looked hungover today like he had been drinking all night half asleep during warm up. Riley eager and tries so hard this is a TRINITY player not Owen.We better not sign him!

lets hope that's wrong and its Riley we've signed,
I've being absolutely delighted with Riley, the guys effort is 2nd to none, I'd love it if we could get him signed up, I can see him becoming a real fans favourite
That said, Owen is young and English, perhaps he will come through and start to show some of his early career promise,

| I wouldn't be too upset if we signed Owen. From the rubbish that was on show in the first half yesterday, i cant believe we have managed to single out anybody.
Tim Smith had a shocker, Moore was average, Kirmond not at the races, even Ali was well below par. Things improved a little 2nd half, helped by the fact the Giants had packed in.
Gilmour has been surprisingly decent since he arrived as has Owen. I wouldn't expect us to sign LG based on his age and also the fact weve signed Ashurst, but Owen and hopefully Riley would both be welcome additions imo

| I don't see the point on playing Gilmour, he's not done anything wrong as such, but we've got young back rowers at the club who should have a future here, Gilmour does not. Owen I'm not too fussed about. I wouldn't be adverse to a one year contract, we're not exactly blessed with wing options.

Now that barring a miracle we wont make the play offs then some younger lads may get some experience towards the end of the season, no doubt some more opportunities for selective bagging of players by some key board coaches.

Yep agree with this the second half we had opportunities to get right back in but some unlucky and poor play cost us, in the first half everything stuck for the Giants and they took their chances, sadly we had the chances in the second 40 but didnt execute to the degree the Giants did.

There was the rumour that there was a 3 year deal on the table for Owen starting next season, when he first came on loan.
Let's not forget he has had some decent games recently against big clubs and people were singing his praises.
I also heard that the contract he has been offered at Wakey is 3/5ths of what he is on at Cas.
Could be a load of old cobblers too!
