This should clear things up either way. Hopefully he will not dodge the question, and if he does I hope it's not down to RFL having had a word not to inflame matters.

Can I ask for clarification from anyone who heard MC mention the "relegation for administration" remark at the fans forum?
Did MC state whether the comment was made by the RFL to MC or by the RFL to Andrew Glover? I'm just wondering whether he heard it first hand or whether he was told it by AG and MC simply believed it to be true. Would be nice to know before tonight's interview as it might make a difference.

He was pretty forthright for it to be second hand information. The fact that Glover and Elston effectively left as a result then the ensuing player sales and departures correlates with the claim. Anyhow there is a chance to confirm or deny the events tonight.

That post does not in any way indicate that the RFL told MC that if the club went into admin, it would be relegated.

If he says words to a similar effect on the radio tonight, there'll be a ritual burning of the relegation straw man that those of you who banged on about it have handed to our detractors.

But the source of the comments made by others was what MC was heard to say at a fans forum, not what he put on here. I was not present at the meeting but people who were and commented on it, were certainly under the impression that had AG and JE got their way we would have been out of SL. Will be interesting to hear what he says if the point is discussed tonight

I would've thought the Trust would've grasped the full facts of the situation from the club before sending their letter. They still believe Trinity were told that admin meant relegation. At least its a chance to settle the debate once and for all.
