Did anyone listen to this on Monday when interviewed about Cummings getting the job. I thought i heard him say that the previous board failings were do with spending over the salary cap on players. I was driving at the time so could have misheard. If i didn't though this really was a stupid thing to say as Bulls haven't been punished for a salary cap breach. Would the RFL have to act on this even though it's a new company? Is there anyway we can get to listen to this interview again?

On a side note - I wish Franny Cummins well at the Bulls; it would be good to see another young British coach doing the business in SL.

This guy is an MP and should be thinking about what he's saying. Just listened to it again and he clearly says that they were not operating within the rules of the game. More than likely he's looked at the old books and knows this and thinks because they are a new company they can't be touched. To me they should still be punished if it's the case even if it happened 3 years ago. The NRL did it to Melbourne and looked back at previous seasons. I have nothing against Bulls i would have had the same opinion if it had been any other club.

It was being talked about as if the reduced money was some kind of punishment? They can't have it both ways, they have eaten into next years cash? That's the price you pay for staying in SL and not selling your best players.

According to League Express the new owners offered to agree to it in order to stay in SL (or words to that effect) plus no one was bleating when we first got in SL and had [uzero[/u not half the money for the first two years. Not saying the club was the best run under the previous regime, but you have to wonder had we had those 2 years missing SL money, whether we would have ended in as much strife as we did.

Maybe now you will be forced to sell players to balance the books? Shame the money will remain in the club though and not go to the creditors IMO.

Simple mathematics, you couldn't afford the squad last season (actually you couldn't afford any squad since you stopped making the play offs) and next season you have less funding, so that makes money tighter, you see?
As for the advice, more than happy to bother about my own, but when your club is asking for donations and support i suppose i felt duty bound to pay attention.
I suppose now thats all sorted, the faux-humility act can be dropped, and we can be expected to mind our own business???

Poor little Bradford. They've been so horribly treated. They should just be given all the SL clubs collective money for next year to make up for how awful everyone is being to them.

I'd assume the powers that be have indeed looked into that.

Think you will find that Wakefield fans have been fairly consistent about the Bulls issue.All most asked for was some consistency in the way these occurences are managed by the RFL,and offered sympathy to genuine Bulls supporters.Where it all went wrong was instigated by some Bulls supporters total insistence that Superleague would collapse without them,and that every other club and every Rugby fan in general was in some way morally obligated to get them out of the whole damn mess they created in there cynical attempts to achieve more glory.The cynical way the club exploited the money raised for them by honest hard working people while still not revealing the full extent of the mire they were in should leave a nasty taste in any decent persons mouth.So after weeks of fudging by the person put in charge of sorting out the whole sleazy affair, something which a lot of your own supporters found quite "curious" shall we say, and continuing to beg every penny you could muster from the RFL and other clubs without showing the slightest bit of humility or attempting to raise any funds internally other than sacking all the backroom staff went a long way to eating away at the sympathy vote.
The RFL in there wisdom bodged a way for the Bulls to carry on and so you would think a joyous wave of grattitude would be eminating from the hole in the ground,but no true to form all we get is "hold on this isn't fair,you know that money that we have already had/spent thrown at a generally average squad of overpaid players ? We want it again next year and you better give it to us or it just isn't fair".So to sum up Sir I hope your proud to be a supporter of a club that lied to you and every decent fan and fans of other clubs as well. As the saying goes it's a inconvenient truth and the persistent denial and whining attitude of some of you only further discredits a once proud club. ps HTH
