And if they'd done nothing and got 1,000 in we'd have a thread criticising them for that as well! Why we can't just ignore them and get on with getting our average up to 6-8,000 I'll never know. You have to applaud every effort made to bring in extra revenue in these hard times, however my point was the way in which Hemmings as usual glosses over the facts to suit his arguments, like for instance last night he said that if it had been a boxing match our game would have been stopped,but made no reference to the game played 3 mile away at the HJ stadium, other than to say Crusaders played good rugby for 20mins

With respect, they're only divisive because you feel the need to jump in and defend Quins at the slightest hint of criticism, usually by countering that we need to get our own house in order. I would suggest that the two are not mutually exclusive and as such, you needn't get your knickers in a twist when people state the obvious about Quins attendance.

Salford only attracted 2,000 + for tonights televised game.Same time as the Manchester derby in a FA Cup semi-final.

Not too bad, considering most in that area, will have been glued to the box watching the FA Cup , stupid time for the game they should have changed it.

I don't think this match could've been scheduled at a worse possible time for Salford. Still less than 3k is a poor show for a club with a new stadium on the way and with that a SL future to look forward to.

Do you honestly believe that Eddie and Stevo pick the clubs to be in Super League?
Do you believe that those who do would take any notice of what Eddie and Stevo say?
Who are the favourites to lose their licence this year, and were last year?

Yes, the future looks brighter at the moment, but Glover coming in and tarting up Belle Vue a bit does not cover over a decade or more where the club was run worse than a corner shop, let the ground decline (and had to rely on Leeds reserves to upgrade the dug-outs at one point,) not exploit media potential in the area by a succession of people unable to do the role, and that can be said of many other roles given to 'friends and family' over the years too.

The initial post was about the attendance at the Quins game and the number of free tickets they gave away nothing to do with Hemmings at all.

For what it's worth it's good to see Quins making an effort to market the club and get more punters through the door though I'm not sure why they chose to play this game on a Friday night as that must have had a negative effect on the number of away fans attending the game.

I think you will find that all the posters on here want our attendances up to and beyond 7-8000 never mind 7-800, as for the other part of your post if you disagree with what he has said then how can it be a good post

You are pushing at an open door here, Quins should be applauded for their efforts, I dont think anybody has stated anything different, I like yourself don't know why they chose to play Friday night, unless it was to give them more time to prepare for the easter games, and as far as is known those tickets were for distribution among the Quins fans and not Cas fans who presumably would be going down anyway.

Perhaps the FA cup semi finals and the London Marathon had something to do with this fixture taking place on Friday night.
