On the upside, the promotions seems to have worked. Ladies day, coupled with the Celtic game ensured good attendances. Against Leeds last year we got 9,863 in the first game but were well down this season.
I get the impression alot of our fans pay on the gate and pick and chose their games. Hopefully the season ticket offer and the recent success (Semi Final & Play-off Games) would encourage those without them to purchase to ensure they get tickets for the big games!

| I don't think it is fair to blame just our fans...whilst there obviously have been games where the Trinity faithful have been less-so (last Saturday being one of them !!!), the opposition fans have also been conspicuous by their absence in a fair few matches this season, due to the credit crunch, poor form, fixture scheduling, etc etc

| I'm not blaming our fans, i'm guessing the 18 quid to get in puts off alot of fans when deciding whether to go or not. Which is probably why we need to plug season tickets more and the spread payment.
I agree regarding travelling support. Warrington, Hull FC and Bradford fans didn't attend in numbers. Leeds even weren't there in the usual numbers but we shouldn't expect opposition fans to come down to Belle Vue. It isn't the best of grounds
Maybe the club is pricing itselfs out of fans. I looked at the prices for next season and i believe i'm correct in thinking that it's 20 on the gate!

| Agree on most points, but why shouldn't we expect opposition fans to come to BV
Of course we should.....yes it's long past it's sell-by date, we all know that and are obviously taking steps to move to Stanley, but at the end of the day, despite all the pre-match and half-time activities, people are there to watch their team play rugby, and whilst the state of the facilities on offer, ie parking, toilets, food outlets etc may have a slight bearing on peoples decisions, I would suggest that their main reason for attending would be to support their team

I have heard the same mentioned, but haven't seen anything official. Seem's too pricey to me, but then again if you compare it to other sports its good value.

| Have'nt seen the other clubs figures to compare yet but you'll probably find an accross the board similar story.
Due no doubt to the climate. Given also that the Leeds area us included as been one of the worst hit outside of London with redundancy's, short-time, etc.

Only three clubs improved attendances this season, the rest have lost support with Trinity’s down the most.

| Much as we have all felt the emotions of losing so many good people, and the club have had much sympathy for those losses, I do not feel that you can discount the fact that there has been / was an air of depression about our club this year. This would also have come from our seeming likely to have no future after the loss of Thornes Park.
It is important that we maintain the momentum we have as a club - on and off the pitch - as we go forward over the next couple of years. If we do this well then we will hopefully see attendences bounce back next year and beyond.

Hopefully a good run in the playoffs can be the boost the support needs to increase. There seemed to be big boost to attendances after the relegation decider in 2006 which as you say may have come on the back of a feel good factor.

| dont think the average wasa helped by saints leeds and kr being on sky, bradford being in freefall decline along with hull
basically people are not doing away games in numbers, except us of course who take the same hardy handsome slim well groomed and all round dandy group of sophisticated gentlemen to all away games
credit crunch has not effected those as we can all borrow cash off ngb4c!

| imo the marketing of the club is terrible!! the quins match with free tickets for women should have been massive but was woefully publicised around the area.
hopefully we turned a corner with diversity at celtic game as this was really well done.
if we rely on the same supporters every year we will never grow
PROMOTE THE CLUB!!!!!!!SPREAD THE WORD!!!!

| £15 max it should be. No more - people cannot afford any more, and if they can they can spend it in the ground. If they cannot afford a match and a pint out of a twenty pound note, then they ain't gonna bother coming.
I have to travel a 200+ mile round trip to get to home games, so games on TV I think twice about especially if it is a difficult time to get to. It makes me no less of a fan if I don't attend, but it makes me a lot richer if I watch it on Sky.
So those who live local who choose to watch it on Sky need a low price to motivate them on coming along - a cheaper price will get more in - simples!

| It is a tricky one. Twenty pounds is too much, although only 18 if you buy in advance. But the club has to generate money to put players on the pitch. The hardcore will still attend, but it will put off the casual or merely interested fan. If it was fifteen quid, would you get an extra 1,000 on the gate, as that is probably the break even number? I think quite possibly. The problem we have though is that we have no backer to make up the shortfall if we get it wrong.
To go to all the home games, it will cost £240 if you pay on the gate. It makes a season ticket more attractive and so maybe they are pushing more people toward that.

| Poor move by the club here i feel - attendances aren't great as is it - without these increases. If we are trying (as we should be) to gather as much support as possible for the license application - but this will just put people off i'm afraid.
