Why would that be? Politically, there's a lot to gain from the project being a success.

| The council themselves have much to gain from this and put a lot of resource into helping this through the planning and the inquiry stages.
The hold up is due to the requirement to find the balance of the finding. Most of it is available, but only once the developer has completed the requisite amount of development.
The situation is different now due to the change in P&R, and this takes away some of the pressure we were able to use to drive this forward.
We still have to be patient, but I'm still confident it WILL happen.

| Hope the club keep the pressure on to get it built ASAP for the sake of the better business plan it provides. The stadium will happen it is just when, that's the question?

4 Years and counting!
news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/west ... 425048.stm
From the outside looking in it's very difficult to remain patient in the face of what seems like very little progression however, you can be sure there's been a Herculean effort by some to make this happen faster but to their frustration the speed of delivery is somewhat out of their control.
We fans can only wait in anticipation of some positive news, something significant, something that offers us a kind of confirmation that, despite time ticking away, this is one stadium plan that will happen.
None of us want the Richard Wright type of updates which said much but never told Cas fans anything new but I for one would like to have some form of update regarding the timeline. I know we are reliant upon the % of warehousing being built & Let but is there a projection from the developers as to when they expect to hit that target?
At present are we expecting a 4 sided stadium, what will the capacity be, will the corners be filled in, all seater or mixed terracing/seating etc
I know what we were aiming for 2/3/4 years ago but has that changed
I know funding levels will be the answer to some of my questions, so how much extra funding will we need, how much have we secured.
A clear picture of where we are today, right now would be a very positive and feel good story to release during these troubled times.

I think one of the reasons was access and the need for a road by-passing the city centre
Another was probably funding

Correct. If access to BV is deemed poor, then it must be the same for the PS.
Funding for this site was also an issue.

| IMO, in terms of location, the best site ever proposed was Denby Dale Rd near to Pugneys. There's easy access, plenty of leisure opportunities if you want to make more of a day of it, a number of local pubs and restaurants and loads of building land.

Q1 are you suggesting NM would lead us to bankrupcy? I would have thought that our outgoings would be lessened and therefore help off field matters not hinder them.
Nice to here from you again, you got the sprouts on?
