This is the thing though. The club are not a primary partner? It is between the stadium trust, council and developer. I'm trying to get a meeting with council leader. Bit like trying to get an audience with the pope at minute

I'm 6 feet tall and have never had problems with a good view. The only complaint i'd have is the lack of cover in bad weather, got used to parking far away when the crowds used to be much bigger. I could understand people knocking the club if they were just standing still but there seems to be a lot of work getting done with little outlay thanks to the hard working volunteers that all clubs need.

Pity the foxy bingo offer wasn't still on we could have signed 5m worth of people up and had the 20m

I like Belle Vue. I've got a lot of memories there. It's a traditional rugby league stadium. The pitch is fantastic. The view is always fantastic and you're free to move around. It's got toilets, it's got cider and it's got burgers. That will ding dang do for me. Only beef anyone could have I think is a lack of car parking facilities and the length it takes to get served. But these are only minor gripes for me, as a parking spot is usually fairly easy to find a short walk away.

Oh, and my grandad's ashes are scattered behind the tryline at the north stand end

When we are back up to (or near) capacity, there is no problem with BV.
Ok, it's not a shiny new stadium but, it's a great place to watch rugby league and no matter how many seats or car park spaces there are, most people turn up to watch the game.
Call me old fashioned but, it's great to be able to chat to folk on the terraces and not be confined to a seat with poor leg room and then get disturbed every 5 minutes by someone going for a p or a pint (and then a p)

God - it's a long time since i've heard that conspiracy theory.

Stay flatten the western terrace and build a full length covered terrace like warrington & HKR style and do the rest of the ground stage by stage. Don't see the obsession with parking loads of top RL/football don't have massive carparks.
Obviously if we had 20m new stadium either way it would be good to have a solid timetable and chose the best option for the club

Leave the Western Terrace and instead build a new Main Satan on the East side of the ground, with quality facilities.
There would be far fewer objectors than trying to do anything major on the west side.
We just need the £5 million now !

The old west stand was the highest stand at Belle Vue so see no reason not to get planning and the west terrace area is bigger than it looks. New east stand could be a reclaim from the numerous empty football stadia around the country, anyway hopefully Sir Rodney is sorting us and Mr Carter keeping all our options open

some great idea's here, especially the one about a new stand on the east side and cover the western terrace. don't get me wrong i maybe getting the gist of the post wrong but is MC saying he has £5million available to re vamp belle vue if he wants to. it would be fantastic if you could have that option open to you. have you any idea if the the present owners of belle vue would be willing to sell it back at an affordable price or give you a very long lease at low rent.

So where does the 5 million come from? If MC has 5 million how come we have had to sell our "better" players?

1.8 million euro win and BV could be rebuilt and old power station site made a car park for match days and cheap lease to Wakey council for park and ride during week and still loads of money left.Now whats those numbers for the next mega prize.

do you not think I know that, I'll patch up the old girl where my skills will allow me no problem, the down fall was the Leeds cup game for me as it has put forward everthing two weeks and it was on a tight schedule anyway. I'm not silly and can see the problems that the club has got.
